I'm not recommending this place for digital nomads. No 4G signal in the rooms, not enough electrical outlets in the double rooms. No extra perks in the spa area. Excellent food and service.

The perfect place for a relaxation. The staff was helpful, smiling all the time and they make you feel wellcome. I spent my vacation in a small double bedroom, which was quite spacious, with a big terrace and a perfect sea view. The cherry on top was the bath, with jets and a sea view. I really didn't wanna leave this place. I only ate breakfast, but it was the most delicious one ever. A small buffet table cause it's a small boutique hotel with only 10 rooms, but quite enough. A variety of food and they can make things like eggs or pancakes a la carte if you want. Oh and they serve real coffee, not from the machine. And that's very important for somwone who is addicted to it like I am. The location is ideal. Just minutes away from the centre, right next to a beautiful park and in a very quiet area (at least in winter). I think I have found my favorite "me time" place for ever.
Perfect location for a family, couple or solo vacation surrounded by greenery. Magnificent view over the Kvarner Bay! Great for tennis lovers (two courts with view over Opatija city)!!!
Brand new hotel. The rooms are very clean and very new. However a few remarks on some details: the TV has no international programs and is only offered in the local language. The only offered toiletries are a bath soap and nothing else, no shampoo, no conditioner etc. The breakfast is very small but very good, again small details such as water is not served and not available, you need to ask for it.
Regarding the beach it is very cramped, a little more space for everyone perhaps removing a few chairs would greatly improve the atmosphere. The music that is played at the bar is also way too loud and if one wishes to rest in some quiet it makes it very hard.
It would also be great if the outside area could be used to have breakfast as it is so beautiful outside.
Overall a great new hotel with high potential. Except for the small details we are enjoying our stay here.

Excellently positioned right on the sea front, it is a newly renovated 3 star hotel. Rooms reasonably furnished, clean but rather small; AC equipped, no fridge or safe but splendid sea view from the 5th floor
Food is tasty and varied enough; no self service due to COVID

My stay is coming to an end for the fifth time and I love it all the same! Hotel Royal is one of a kind with its sleek but comfortable style. Perfect location. Quieter than other resorts on this coast. Great coastal walks in either direction. Regular buses. Sea perfect for swimming. Food varied and good quality. Sun goes off the sunbeds early in the day. Other residents reserve sunbeds and get rude about it.
