We stayed for 9 days in Hilton Olbia because we travelled with friends who choose the hotel. I wouldn’t say this is a 4 star hotel. It’s max 3 stars. There is no bath robes, face flannels or slippers provided in the bathrooms. You need to drive as location is not ideal but of course depending what you want. It is close to the airport. The worse part was the breakfast. The tall Italian waitress wouldn’t wait for you to finish your order, she would walk away in the middle of the conversation or ignore you totally. Once she rolled her eyes and walk away when my partner was ordering his omelette. He said he never experienced anything like this in his life. Just to remind Hilton staff that you are there for your customers and maybe you need a bit of the customer service training to start treating people with respect.
Well at first the prices seem fair, but then literally everything costs extra, e.g. 5 Euro for a towel a day and it is not allowed to bring water from outside. Then you think well that is nice that they provide free water in your room but then the rude awakening comes when you check out:
0.5 l water 2.5 Euro , so you ll spend at least 10 Euro each day extra because you cannot bring your own water and tap water is not drinkable. That is really a shame for a hotel with a 4 star rating.
As we were leaving one day very early we asked for a breakfast box (veggie) and we got only fruits with marmelade, I mean how can you eat marmelade with fruits and no bread. It was a bit ridiculous, especially for a 4 star hotel.
Apart from that rooms, breakfast as well as the pool is fine and the stuff is very polite, but due to all the above mentioned I wouldnt stay here again.
HYGIENE = 0, RESPECT = 0, MANAGEMENT = NOT EVEN WORTH A ZERO!!!
This will be shocking but this is exactly what happened. We stayed in this hotel for two nights, checked in the 1/9 at ~7pm during the COVID time. The staff looked extremely careful about the masks which was reassuring but it turned out they only care about their own safety but not the guests. At the 2/9 coming back from the beach around also ~7pm, feeling a bit cold, I decided to make myself tea. And here is to my surprise, after removing the cover on top of the mug (which is not transparent you can't see through!), I find garbage inside, tissue paper from the previous guest. I was incredibly mad especially with the COVID situation!!! I expected at least a proper apology and to make sure they at least wash the mugs! To my surprise, the manager (which everyone is complaining about her disrespect to clients in the reviews) told us this :"Let me tell you the story, yesterday you went out of your room spoke to the cleaning room, and you weren't wearing your mask and she asked you to wear the mask, and I saw you on the camera. And then you started organising this trick'. It seemed perfect sense to her that a person would revenge like that just because someone asked him to put a mask, as if in this more than 7 floors building with I don't know how many rooms has only one person that cleans rooms. We had no idea who were suppose to sanitise the room before our arrival! Then she started playing another story saying "So you want to convince that for 24 hours you didn't drink coffee" then "The cups were in front of your bed, how you didn't see it". YES HOW WE DID NOT SEE THROUGH THE COVERS ON THE MUGS !! WE SHOULD HAVE MAGICAL POWERS TO SEE THROUGH !!!!! I do not need to explain why I didn't drink hot drinks in the room that I almost only get in to take a shower and sleep! The obvious never crossed her mind that the person sanitising the room DIDN'T WASH THE MUGS just as simple as that! After all this disrespect, my husband got seriously mad which he has all the right to be .... and her response was "I will leave you and go inside, You are speaking to a lady, I will call the police, you need anger management, I am not psychologist". Well, it is pretty clear how needs a psychologist to fix their evil imagination. A manager is a manager not a female not a male, don't not rely on your gender to do your job which includes handling complex (simple in my point of view) as situations. A person with connections that has no shame in disrespecting guests and using her connections with the police. "You go out of the hotel right now", as if we were staying in her house for free. We went up to our room to leave since anyway we were checking out. The police came up to us which was really ironic "don't speak to the lady in this tone, you come make a complaint at the police". We didn't really care, we did nothing wrong and at the end well the police in the hotel is definitely a win for its reputation! She had guy everywhere around her that kept smiling below the mask which was clear from his eyes, very happy about the police thing as if it was a game. The police was a proof of weakness and not having the minimum management skills to handle simple situations that can be solved with a simple apology and admitting their mistakes.
DO NOT be tricked with positive reviews here, the rooms are nice but if you ever had any trouble, the personal at that hotel will disrespect you in every way. The staff of the hotel knows they are protected and they can do as much mistakes as they want. The staff do tons of mistakes that she is not even aware of because she is only focused on punishing guests !
BUNCH OF IMMATURE PEOPLE running this hotel speaking of humanity and respect which they don't have even a tiny bit of it!!
Great hotel in a perfect location with great facilities. Amazing swimming pool and restaurant. Special mention to the staff who has been incredible throughout our all stay. Grazie mille
NOT A HILTON! Unprofessional and rude staff
I would recommend that no one stays here first of all! This is NOT a Hilton! Very rude unprofessional staff. The guests are always mistaken and liars in this place. If you complain about food they will say you are lying because because they have best food in the world. If you mistakenly open the door of your room without stepping outside without a mask, they will tell you to put it on but when they do claim they sanitise the room between different guests and you find mugs full of garbage it is not a big deal for them ! You get sick that's fine but the staff no! They will just say you did that on purpose as trick! A lot of the terrible reviews here is about complaints that ended by accusation from the very rude manager and staff, It is a common pattern in this hotel!
Awful place, don't ruin your vacation, literally any hotel in the world will be better than staying at this place!!!
