We arrived with a booking for two nights and had to leave the room was so bad.
The bed sheets weren't clean (hair on them and stains); the floor hadn't been cleaned properly and the furniture was pretty old and decripit. For this cost (over £100 per night) in Ohrid, you can do a great deal better than here.
The staff and manager agreed to not charge us and were business-like enough; but they did not accept that the room was unclean, which is poor.
The hotel is a family-orientated place with a play park and small pool. Its location is not near Ohrid old town and probably too far for kids to walk into town.
While the food was excellent, albeit overpriced, there are certain amenities that are absolute; cleanliness is one of those absolutes. The room was not clean at all. When moving a chair, there was hair and food from previous guests on the ground, literally debris inside drawers; I feel sorry for anyone that has to reach in between cushions for a fallen item and don't forget to bring your own pillow. The towels they use for guests should have been thrown out years ago, they felt like sand paper and shared old stains of guests passed. I don't even keep old stained towels like this in the my own home.
The units are in desperate need of a makeover, literally falling apart. The bed sleeps like it was a mattress from the 90's with the mileage to match. Ironically this was the most expensive hotel on our excursion and I don't mind warning folks like me that assume room cleanliness, do not stay here if this is your expectation. That being said the restaurant and breakfast food was delicious and the garden was lovely.

Privately lovely place to spend a weekend
Very nice garden and outside pool.
Cleaning in the room could be a lot better. The waste basket emptied after 2 days. Same for the ashtray on the balcony. Emptied but not cleaned. Small table on the balcony remained uncleaned, full of dust for all the 3 days we stayed.
Very poor breakfast, little variety, very little quantity. Even had problems to get a bit of bread and when I asked for a bread roll, I was told by a very offended waiter it's only one left and I should eat the toast type bread.
Overall a bitter taste, didn't find any of the friendliness other people talking about.
