Just visited the bar. Looks like an older established hotel. The bar itself is nice round solid with plenty of space. Old fashioned in a good way as a bar should be its in the restaurant which is italian themed and menu. Rustic style also has a Deli & pastry shop, selling imported Olive oil, yes from Italy, Salami, cheeses and on the pastry side a nice variety. All Worth a visit!
We had a decent experience at this hotel. The staff we interacted with were SO nice and friendly and helpful! However the hotel itself seems slightly outdated? It didn’t match the pictures on their website, we aren’t sure if there’s a section that’s more updated? Either way, it wasn’t a bad experience and would definitely stay here again however I love being transparent and sharing my entire experience. They gave us a free upgrade and bottle of wine for our honeymoon which was awesome! Our room was a weird mix of old/new? We did have a full trash can under the sink when we arrived, but we mentioned it to the front desk and they sent someone to empty it right away which was great! We checked out the pool too and it was clean! A little too cold but that’s not their fault the hallways have a creepy feel to them especially at night! When it was raining the one window was leaking (pictures included)
The only real major complaint was the outlets by the bed, they had it plugged into an extension cord and it stuck out, so when you sat on the bed you unplugged it? We just pulled the mattress out a few inches and it was fine but still seemed a little unsafe? I attempted to get a picture but it’s hard to make sense of it there was also a bath mat in the tub?? It just felt pretty gross but ♀️
Oh and the air conditioning said it was set to 65 when we walked in but it definitely wasn’t 65, it never seemed to actually be on, the fan would run but it never cooled off. ANYWAY in summary, would stay here again, it’s clean but it seems a little off so don’t have high expectations for something fancier?
We usually grab an efficiency with an ocean view if we can and have been very satisfied with the quality of the room. The staff has been great at every stay, which is a testament to the hotel. If anything has been wrong or missing, they've been quick to remedy the situation. Amenities include ice, soda and snack machines, a workout room, an arcade, an indoor heated pool and hot tub and an outdoor pool and bar (in season). Easy access to the beach and ample parking.
To begin, the hotel needs renovated (about 15 years ago). Salt water damage, outdated interior, carpeted rooms, peeling wallpaper, etc. Regardless, the accommodations were good and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Our room was clean and the ocean view was great. The restaurant was good and has been updated. Indoor pool was nice for a winter visit.
My girlfriend and I stayed for 1 night over the weekend. The king bed room with south view of the ocean, was perfect. We had a frightening experience during a walk on the beach at night, when we suddenly began to sink into the sand rapidly. We were ok, but had some wet and sandy shows after. We told Rachel, at the front desk, about it after and later on, she brought us a bottle of champagne, to help ease our terrifying experience, and some shampoo (that my girlfriend requested earlier). She could not have been any sweeter to me and my lady. Please let her know that she is an exceptional employee. We will definitely be coming back for another night or 2, soon.
