Our family booked a weekend at the Princess Royal Ocean Front Hotel and we were not disappointed with choosing this place. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They checked in with us throughout our stay, making sure we were happy. Our room was a queen suite with pool view. The room was spacious and clean, the beds are very comfortable and our balcony looked straight out to the indoor pool and out to the ocean. The pool was great, nice size and our kids loved it. The Schooner restaurant was also very nice. The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious. There was even a fun photo booth next to the restaurant. So fun! Our experience has been wonderful and we will definitely book another stay.
Had a rough check in, but the manager, Maurice, took care of me and my family. We appreciate the quick response and feedback to settle us in a room of similar expectations when the room we were originally given was occupied. For our trouble Maurice provided discounts and credits so we will be able to enjoy our vacation even more! Great job Maurice and team, and thank you Princess Royale!
I took the family on a little getaway for the weekend here and we absolutely LOVED it. First time visit and can't say enough about this resort. From the cleanliness to the amazingly friendly staff to the huge indoor pool, everything was just amazing. We will definitely be returning soon!
Very rude security person Mark. After coming to this location for more than 40 years. I was approached by Mark who rudely asked what my room number was. I was sitting in the hallway near Schooner's. I did not know how to respond since this was about 6:15 am. When I did not respond right away I guess he was calling the front desk. He did not introduce himself as Security and assumed first that I was some vagrant hanging out in the Hotel. He claims that he asked if I was staying at the hotel first. He did not!!!! I asked if he was calling Sonny, who was working the front desk. At this point he should have left well enough alone. I had just spoke with Sonny the morning before. Very polite and new to Princess Royale. No! Mark insisted on my room number and my name. I asked who he was and what was his name. I also asked him to show proof he was Security and he simply pulled out his phone. My heart is still racing as I write this since I felt threatened by a strange man walking our hallways playing loud music on his walkie talkie. Mark needs to role play proper approaches for Hotel guests. Most importantly not assume that a 64 year old woman sitting in a chair on her phone is a threat to him and a vagrant who slipped in the Hotel. Very very disappointed! Not sure I will stay here again!
The room was nasty. We found hair in the comforter and stains on the bed sheets. Also, there are bugs on the counter top in the kitchen and in the bathrooms. The shower is horrible. We used cold water to take the shower. The pool is not clean they put lot of chlorine in it. If you want to enjoy your vacation do not book in this awful hotel.
