This is an excellent hotel. Great off season rates, beautiful sunrises from every room and exceptional spaces throughout the hotel. Beautiful outdoor beach deck and bar, massively tall windows in the dining room that face the beach and it has nice seating areas.
It reminds me of the many grand hotels from years ago yet it's still well appointed with modern amenities The bar and restaurant were open despite it being in the off season.
All of the staff including the front desk, housekeeping, bar and wait staff were amazing. If you are overnighting or staying for vacation, you won't go wrong staying here.
We did five celebrations for our 50th Anniversary June 15, 2018. Our first celebration was a long weekend on our actual anniversary. Then in two weeks we had our kids and their families visit us for a week and dud something different each day, ending with a formal picture taking session followed by a dinner out. Our third celebration was another long weekend at your amazing Hotel. The fourth was getting gold bands with "50 Love" inscribed inside and the fifth was a New Year's Eve gala closer to home.
But of all these special things staying with you those two times were just the two of us and you made us feel so special. I think you treated us to free breakfasts and we bought some special pieces at your jewelry shop. I can't wait to come back again. Thanks again for all the great memories. Very nice place to stay. The room was clean and comfortable. My husband had no place to smoke his cigar due to it being smoke free property. A smoke area would be nice. That is the only reason I gave a 4 and not a 5 star rating. Nice place otherwise
Room was very nice. will definitely return. Breakfast at the Victorian Room is always amazing. They have also opened a little coffee shop which has homemade muffins cookies Etc very good this is definitely a place to check out
10/10 would recommend staying here. The hotel is beautiful. I loved the Victorian decor. I stayed in the suites and my room was very clean. The bed was comfortable. I had an amazing view of the ocean. The staff was very kind and welcoming. Check in was a breeze. The food was delicious! My only complaint was the outside furniture were a little dusty. That’s all! I will be staying here again next time I’m in OC!
