We booked 2 rooms in this hotel and we didn't expect any frills as it was classed as a 3 star hotel. There is an option to have breakfast if you wish by filling out a breakfast form. I did not have breakfast so cannot comment on that.
The room that I was in was very small and pokey. Our friends room on the top floor was much larger than ours even though we paid the same amount, so I felt a little cheated. In addition to that our air conditioner did not work very well and was blowing mild air around the room. We let the person at reception know about this issue before heading out; on our return there was no change to the air conditioner. We went down to ask again if they could do anything about this but the man on reception said it will have to wait till next day. It was 35 degrees that day so we had no choice but to sleep with very little cool air (our friend on the top floor had a beautiful nights sleep as their AC worked very well). Next morning we had to ask yet again and eventually the problem was fixed. Besides this though, the room was clean even though it did look a bit worn (scuffs on the walls, stain on the bedside lamp). The bathroom was immaculate and we were very happy with it. There is a fridge in the room that works very well.
All in all it feels like this hotel is a bit of a hit or miss depending on which room you are given. Our room was on the first floor ( our friends room on the second).
I only tried the restaurant, the experience was wonderful.
I had sea food spaghetti, delicious, very tasty.
And tiramisu was the best I had in many years.
I had lunchnin the garden, even though they are building an extension tonthe hotel, it was rather quiet.
The waiter was perfect, very polite and warm.
Very beautiful place, clean and neat. Unfortunately, I was cold in my room, the heater didn't work and it was very little space in a 2ppl room. I'm sure that when the renovation's fully done it will be perfect place to stay.
