We highly don't recommend this hotel! So unfriendly stuff. Every mornig we have the same breakfast. We have paid for 2 adults and 1 kid but every morning we must please for one croasan more for our kid. They control our aircondition and turn it off. Receptionosts dont say hello and bye! Only the location is good..
Do not stay at this hotel. It is not worthy of a 3 stars hotel. It is located on a road, which at night appears to be unsafe. It resembles a student hostel. The reception is not on ground floor. If you arrive in the evening, there is no staff other than an elderly man in jeans who cannot answer any of your questions. He appeared to be a janitor and not reception staff. He was also not wearing a face mask. There are clearly precautions been taken against covid 19 whereby it is mandatory to wear a face mask in hotels. The elevator is extremely old fashioned - the management claims it is old parisian style. Pulling and pushing the door is very hard especially with luggage. The carpets seem old and not washed. The room was dull and dusty. Just really unpleasant. I only stayed 10 mins and left. I rebooked another hotel. The management and staff refused to refund me. They had poor customer service and were getting really defensive about my opinions. Do not stay here.
Further to the reply by Yannick the manager: he states I do not know about French history and couldn't appreciate the old fashioned elevator. This is such a ridiculous and condescending thing to say. When a person pays money, they expect a certain standard and this hotel does not fulfil that standard. Also, the man was wearing jeans and no mask. When we tried to go back to the reception, the elevator gate was locked and he wasn't in reception, so we couldn't get any further assistance from him. That's when we decided to book another hotel. This hotel and management are a disgrace. They clearly haven't heard the phrase ' a customer is always right'. Poor customer service. I again advise you not to stay in this hotel. It will ruin your holiday experience.
The rooms were nice and clean, the staff is friendly and the location is amazing. However the view from the rooms are quite bad on one side of the hotel. The breakfast is really cheap but a plain. The 1. Floor hallway is really stinky and airless. In conclusion the staff's helpfulness the great location and the cheap price make this hotel a good place to stay if you don't want to spend there much time, but who want's to stay inside in Nice?
The ceiling and walls had so much dust and maybe even cobwebs. Under the bed also it was extremely dusty, I was sneezing the whole time in my room. The toilet is so small, an airplane toilet is maybe bigger than what they had. Location was good. Close to tram station and old town was 9 mins away by walk.
Staff is really nice, especially one male receptionist in 30’s was so helpful, he explained us all the thing we can visit, how to get there, recommended restaurants etc., rooms are too small for European standards, we had flood in the bathroom second day, the water pipes were clogged. Breakfast is very simple, so luckily we didn’t choose it, instead we bought breakfast at local bakery and ate in on the beach, very nice experience
