Home away from home!
We stayed here for a week, midway through a four month backpacking trip. Of the dozen or so hostels we stayed at up to that point, Meyerbeer resulted some of the best memories. Super friendly desk staff, and a layout that is incredibly conducive to conversing and meeting new friends made for a fun and refreshing week.
Rooms were clean, and include a mini-fridge for drinks and groceries. The grocery store next door provides cheap drinks and good food that can be prepared and enjoyed in the common area before a night on the town.
I'll certainly be staying here again!
Great location - just a few minutes away from the beach, grocery stores and pharmacies etc. In terms of cleanliness, it was okay. The only problem was the bathroom. When the cleaning staff came, they didn’t wipe any surfaces and it didn’t seem like they changed the bath mat for some time. The staff was friendly, but I found it weird that they weren’t wearing masks in the lobby/lounge area at a time like this. I feel like the hostel in general did not practice or enforce any health precautions to prevent the spread of Covid-19. This is something to consider if you’re travelling during the pandemic.
The people running this place are brilliant, they were so happy and helpful. Rooms are clean and has all your amenities covered. Communal kitchen area is great and felt very at home to cook or chill out. Literally a stones throw from the beach, supermarket next door, perfect location. Wish I could of stayed longer. I could only give 5 stars but it deserves more.
