Reviews from visitors:
Centrally located, near the station. Good facilities. Breakfast not included and quite noisy as people keep moving in and out all through the night- thanks to good night life in nice
I had a good time in the hotel.the staff was nice. It was okay for what I paid for. Very good for solo travelers on a budget. Near the public commute station, near restaurants, etc.
While this hotel was cheap, I would highly recommend seeking out something better even for a higher cost.
I stayed in Nice Art Hotel in January 2019. Our room was nasty, and reeked of smoke. The beds weren't nice, and felt sticky. There were electricity plugs which weren't functioning. The toilets were equally nasty, and far away from the rooms. Only one of the toilets I checked even had a seat.
The VERY FEW positive things to say about this hotel is that they have decent WiFi, and that it is located close to a train station. (Not close to the center of Nice).
I'm not typically one to leave a review like this, and tend towards giving the benefit of the doubt.... and in the interest of transparency, we booked a 4 person all female dorm at the lowest rate. We didn't really have any expectations besides cleanliness, and I will try to leave my thoughts on our very inconsiderate bunkmate out of it because that's not the hostel's fault. Despite our dissatisfaction we did stay our entire three night booking, as we could not afford to lose our pre-paid fees and also book a new hotel or hostel. However, we were disgusted at the state of our room, as well as the common spaces (shower, toilet) and disappointed at the lack of a common lounge area. Common passages were musty and dark, with no airflow to speak of and stank of sweaty dirty people and wet carpet. The beds seemed clean enough though unsturdy - every time my bunkmate coughed she shook my whole bunk like a hurricane. I spent a good part of our first night afraid I would crush her when my bed collapsed (and she coughed and coughed all night long). Bunk room seemed secure enough, though it is not possible to lock 5he assigned locker within the room. Wifi is strong, and assigned based on room number so there's your single star right there. There are no screens in the window and no other ventilation, so it's either sweat in the heat of Nice in your bunk room or open the windows and get eaten alive by mosquitoes all night long. There are exposed pipes and wires and broken fixtures lining the walls. The shower room looks clean enough at first glance, but when you look at the walls, it is disgusting. Nearly every inch except the floor is covered in black mold, and there is no functioning ventilation or window, so as steam builds in the room it just rains mold-water back on to you and the floor. The common toilet has no seat, and no toilet paper, and the doorknob (like many in the building) is falling off/doesn't function. Slide lock keeps anyone else from coming in so I guess that's fine. There is no sink in the common toilet either, so you are required to walk all the way back to your bunkroom without washing, touching every door along the way. Needless to say we are looking forward to showers at our next destination and will never return to this place again..
Very bad room, don't waste your money and don't go with family
