Great hotel. I've been here a few times and the rooms are always lovely. Every time I've been here, I got the highest room and it's 100% worth it. Great view and on the rooftop, you're right under the empire state building. Staff was always lovely, I even forgot my mask once and they quickly reminded me before I left the lobby. Very attentive, thank you!
2 The James New York – NoMad

The James Suite at $270 per night was so well worth the money. Both the living room and bedroom were spacious and nicely furnished. In other areas like Chelsea or downtown, this price can only get you a room half the size of this one. The staff members were good too. We ordered a lot of food deliveries and they would either allow the driver to drop the package at our door or they sent the food themselves. The front desk always answered our calls immediately. If you'd like your room cleaned just let them know the night before. It's worth noted that housekeeping has been suspended in many hotels in NYC since the start of covid pandemic. Really appreciate their hard work which kept us safe during this time

This hotel was exceptionally clean. It was so vintage and cute. Even though the rooms are small, I have no complaints at all. I would definitely stay here again. And De'Marcus at the front desk was absolutely fantastic!!

Directed friends coming from out of town for a birthday celebration to this hotel. The accommodations were beautiful & the service was excellent. Everyone was so happy, this hotel helped them have a great visit to NYC - highly recommend!
5 Made Hotel

This hotel is beautiful. It has a nice bohemian vibe, with plants, rustic finishes and platform beds. I purchased a self care package and it was a great value for what I received. The person working the desk when I arrived was Priscilla, and she was very nice and personable. And the lounge space available was also nice and had a bohemian vibe. The negatives would be that different parts of the common areas lacked polish, like the rooftop lounge had chairs without cushions and pizza boxes on the counter. But it was a common area so maybe I arrived after a messy guest ♀️. The rooms were nice and clean and comfortable, although a bit small. They compensate for the small space by using the space very well and making the storage very streamlined. Overall, it was a nice, unique hotel at a great price, and I would stay again.
6 Moxy NYC Chelsea

images
The only complaint I have is that the floors in the room were very dusty. However the rest of it was very clean! I still really liked the room and location of the hotel. The room is super cute and compact yet still functional. I love the window wall view of the city these rooms at the Chelsea location have. If you're looking for a simple place to stay at in NYC this could definitely be the spot. The prices are reasonable and I would definitely stay here again.
7 Freehand New York

Such a fun hotel! Loved the vibe, decor, and hospitality. Super cute and easy access to Madison Square Park.
Beware of the SUPER bright green light on the thermostat. I had to finagle a contraption to cover it in order to fall asleep given it was basically a nightlight.
8 Carlton Arms Hotel

Very cool artsy hotel. Kind of has a hostel vibe. Very friendly and helpful staff. I would definitely go again just to check out the other rooms/art!
9 Refinery Hotel

Great location and quality customer service. The rooftop bars is one of the best in the dirt IMO. You’ll enjoy your stay here. The rooms have that unfinished modern feel to them.
10 Moxy NYC Times Square

Great hotel, right in the middle of everything. Small room but worked great for what we needed. Would definitely stay here again. Oh and I must add, the shower is AMAZING!
11 Renaissance New York Midtown Hotel

I loved this place! My boyfriend and I visited for a long weekend and had a great time. Rooms are modern and super clean, and the shower is awesome. The hotel itself is decorated nicely and located in a great area. I hope to stay here again once COVID gets a little bit better so that we can enjoy the restaurant, lobby/bar area, and outdoor patio. Definitely recommend!
12 Gramercy Park Hotel

This is a really fantastic hotel. It's really beautifully decorated with a really warm and cozy feel. The style is old school, with a lot of red velvet and dark wood, but it really works. Both in the lobby and in the bar there are two really beautiful fireplaces. The location is obviously also fantastic.
13 Andaz 5th Avenue - a concept by Hyatt

If I could give this place 10 stars I would! Our stay here was absolutely amazing! The staff were all extremely friendly and made every effort to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The room was beautiful, the location was close to everything we could need. I highly highly suggest staying here if you are going to NYC. You will NOT regret it!
