Reviews from visitors:
The only complaint I have is that the floors in the room were very dusty. However the rest of it was very clean! I still really liked the room and location of the hotel. The room is super cute and compact yet still functional. I love the window wall view of the city these rooms at the Chelsea location have. If you're looking for a simple place to stay at in NYC this could definitely be the spot. The prices are reasonable and I would definitely stay here again.
I traveled to NYC for my birthday with some friends. Very happily and pleased with how accommodating the staff was at the Chelsea Moxy as well as the cleanliness of the hotel. The rooms were beautiful along with the great views. This was a great stay. The location is also so amazing. I highly recommend! I will be back!
Rooms are small. I expected more.
I absolutely love this place. Room was sparkling clean, cozy and set up in such a nice way. The view was amazing from floor 31st, you could see the empire state and all the buildings surrounding it. I would recommend with my eyes closed ❤️
What we liked:
Location, great staff, breakfast was decent. Room was comfortable overall.
Nice view of the Empire State.
Close to multiple lines of the Subway.
What we didn't:
The last two nights someone was smoking pot by the stairwell, the smell would get into our room and it would wake up us, that was terrible given the fact that we moved from another hotel to this one because of this, please have security walk the floors and stairs!
King size bed is on the smaller side, felt more like a queen size bed.
The water from the shower would sneak to the floors, you could tell it has been an issue due to floor plank damage.
AC is set by the hotel, even when the thermostat in the room says a temperature it a lot higher than that, we would wake up sweating in the middle of the night with the thermostat "set" at 68. The heater would automatically go on if we opened the window to cool the room down. It's winter, I shouldn't be wake up sweating in the middle of the night when the thermostat is reading 68F. This is definitely not case and the temperature is definitely preprogrammed by the hotel, even if it says 68F you are actually getting 76F.
