Reviews from visitors:
I have received better treatment at the DMV on a packed summer day than at this hotel.
I had booked a Junior Suite for two nights to celebrate my birthday. From the moment I checked-in the service was HORRIBLE. The guy at the front desk was not professional. The suite was for three people total (including myself) so I mentioned that the one guest was joining later as they were still at work, I tried asking to leave a key at the front desk for my guest to pick up but immediately the guy at the front desk told me "no gatherings" (NEVER did I mention I was having a party). I later asked about the hours of the rooftop bar. When I called days before confirming my reservation, they informed me that the restaurant was open and the rooftop bar as well. The guy at the desk responded to my question by rudely and in a condescending manner saying "the rooftop is close. The whole city is on lock down". He also never reviewed anything regarding the room or my stay with me, other than no parties, and told me to listen in to what the other girl at the front desk was telling another guest, because that applied to me too. I called booking.com to mention my check-in interaction. On the next day at around noon (after the first night), I was taking a shower, nude, listening to music and I suddenly hear my hotel room door OPEN. I knew my other guest was at work, so it could not have been her opening my door. It was the hotel room manager who was opening my hotel room door. I yelled "I'M NAKED". She told me I had to check out because it was past noon and I was overstaying my stay. I was very confused because I had ALREADY paid for a second night but also why would you open my hotel room door? They went back down to the desk and later called me to tell me that booking.com had changed my reservation to check out a day early. Lies! I never agreed to that. I called booking.com again and they told me there had not been any changes made to my reservation. At this point I was furious, I had booked this hotel to stay in and have a very relaxed birthday but it turned out to be nothing but stressful. I decided to check-out right away and I did not have the energy to keep dealing with the front desk people's nasty attitude and stress out. I have worked various positions in customer service for 7 years, and I don't know who's doing the hiring and training but it is absolutely trash to allow your employees to behave in such a manner.
Respectfully, I would never recommend this place.
Great location and super nice staff at the reception. The food at the 2nd floor restaurant is okay too. The pool area is small and cozy. They opened the bar at 9pm during movie night. Overall we had a great time.
This place is popping. Incredible interior design, trendy neighborhood, rooms are dark and sultry but if you look closely the place is showing its age. (Don’t walk barefoot in your room!)
Popular with a younger crowd but there was no crowd controls during the pandemic, every floor and elevator smelled like weed.
Service-wise they were a little snooty, it’s uncalled for as this is not the Four Seasons.
Stayed here as a part of interview. Hotel is located bit outside of main New York area, but it's at walkable distance from few attractions. Check-in process was pretty smooth and the on-desk employee was helpful in providing all the necessary details.
Rooms were bit small, but it was offset by overall comfort level. Overall experience was ok for a 4-star hotel. Next time I visit, I must make sure rooms are big enough. But otherwise I don't have any other concerns against it. Recommended if you're traveling for a business or a solo traveler if you don't mind staying bit away from the midtown.
Book a better hotel. The management in this hotel is extremely rude, the service is just awful. The cleanliness of the hotel is not up to par and it does not meet the expectations. The walls are very thin and you can hear people speaking and it wakes you up in the morning. Needless to say, this is not a peaceful or clean place.
Save your money, avoid the disappointment and dirty atmosphere. Book somewhere else, you'll enjoy yourself much more.
