Reviews from visitors:
The Eliza Jane is a perfect hotel for those who enjoy older buildings that have been converted. There are some original walls and parts of the original building which are appealing. The hotel also has a great location in the business district and just steps from the French Quarter. Staff were friendly and provided some good dining advice. I also give them kudos for providing an update prior to arriving to reflect my status.
There were a few aspects that could be improved. The furniture felt very dated like old leftovers from a different time. Also, the lighting was not great. The room was dark at night to the point my Zoom session was difficult to complete unless I was directly under a light.
Great service and vibe at the hotel. Away from Bourbon Street, but very convenient and an easy walk there if you desire. Also close Garden District, WWII Museum and great restaurants.
Staff very friendly and extremely accommodating to our needs. We will be back to stay!
Overall the stay was nice. We booked the king suite.. it was super nice having the small living area and a separate bedroom with a door. the bathroom was really nice. The lobby and overall feel of the hotel was amazing. Perfectly located outside the hustle and bustle of the French Quarter but was a 10 - 15 minute walk to Bourbon Street. due to COVID there was no regular maid service. However every time we called down for fresh towels or other items they were super fast to pop up and drop them off. The only real negative and what kept me from 5 stars was the walls were super thin. every night the lady in the room next to us we could hear her on the phone having a normal regular conversation. We had to use ambient sound from our phone to help drown out her talking on the phone at 11 or 12 at night. She was never yelling or any kind of heated conversation. she was having a normal conversation and we could almost hear her word for word so I can only imagine how bad it would be if the hotel was super busy and you had people who were "loud" next door. oh and parking is really iffy.. $42 a night for a lot one street over.. However we went out one night and got back around 8 pm and there was NO WHERE to park in our assigned lot. Had to just kind of hang out in the parking lot nearly 20 minutes waiting for someone to leave.
Wow, this place is beautiful and the staff is incredibly helpful. They helped me make this trip memorable and comfortable. Big shout out to Rachel for her awesomeness!!
We will be back
