Reviews from visitors:
We enjoyed ourselves on a nice weekend get away. The location is key. Right off Canal St. with plenty of good restaurants and shopping. A short walk the French Quarter and the National WWII Museum in the other direction. The room was smaller than I expected but it was quiet and clean. The staff was friendly to us. It was very cold and windy (Feb 18, 2021) but the door was unlocked and welcoming, however, mask did have to be worn. I thought their parking fee was too expensive (on the street right near the entrance). I ended up paying more at a local lot. We ran out of time and had to extend the time from my phone. I ended up paying $55 instead of the $42 they offered. It was only $35 until the extension.
We checked out in the morning at 11 but our flight was at 7 and we also had bags. So we asked if we could drop of our bags in their safe area where every hotel has. We came back around 4 to see our bags gone, asked and asked but the front desk person continued to say that they don’t know. We asked for a manger and also called a police because we had very important valuable stuff in there. They claimed that there was a person in the hotel who had warrant and the man got arrested. First of all what a dangerous hotel for having illegal people. The U.S martial came to get the man and had to also get the mans luggage. While they grabbed the man luggage they also thought that our luggage was also the man bags. We had a flight at 7 and the whole thing started to happen around 5... two hours until we need to get to our flight. Horrible staff continually asking to calm down when we had such valuable and personal stuff. I would never trust to come back to this place and I warning to whomever is reading right now to not trust your valuable stuff with this hotel
The location was nice. We were able to easily walk back and forth to the French Quarter. I love how convenient we were located to the Ruby Slipper Café since it was on our to do list. The room was very clean and nice. The beds were comfortable. I reserved a King Room with a road view. I was on the second floor, directly over the Ruby Slipper and never heard all of the commotion down stairs during the brunch crowd. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Will stay again.
This is the worst experience I have ever had with a hotel. We booked a room at this place, and they charged my card and took the money out, but then when we went to check in, they said they couldn’t find our booking and had oversold the hotel rooms and didn’t have a room for us. They then said we would not be able to speak to a manager until tomorrow, and they still have not refunded my money.
So this means I now have to find another accommodation tonight while still not having my money refunded from them. It’s such a shame because I thought this was going to be a nice and pleasant experience, the hotel looked nice online.
We drove 4 hours to the hotel today from Florida only to find once we arrived that they did not have a room for us.
Stay away from this place, they are shady, unprofessional, and should not be in the business of operating a hotel. Clearly the manager of this hotel is totally incompetent and I hope she does not remain employed here.
I sincerely hope the city of New Orleans shuts this place down.
To say I am furious is an understatement.
Absolutely one of the top best hotels in the downtown area of New Orleans. This fine service hotel offers the best hospitality to customers. Very fancy and extremely clean and comfortable. This hotel.has a long history of serving tourists . Reservations can save you some bucks through priceline. The rooms are beautiful and decor attractive . Staff are professional, friendly, and provide hospitality that will please each guest.
