This hotel is a "hidden gem", in New Orleans not even a block away from Bourbon Street, and a short walk to the French Quarter!
Charming and mystical, the castle-like aesthetic of the hotel feels cozy and unique. The antique furniture in my room was a great feature and really added to the historic feel of the city/hotel.
The staff was friendly, even with my constant coming and going from the hotel, and honestly made me feel welcome from the moment I checked in until I had to unfortunately check out.
Parking is offered valet-style for a reasonable nightly price, and access to your vehicle can be arranged with minimal hassle if you so desire.
Overall, I loved my stay at the Olivier House and they are definitely at the top of my list to rebook for my next trip to New Orleans!!
This place is Amazing! Love the history. We stayed In just a standard room because that is all that they had. It’s beautiful and nice. I can only imagine what the upgraded rooms look like. It’s so close to bourbon street. We will definitely stay here again
This is an amazing find. You will not stay in a more unique property. John and Ashley greeted us and allowed us to review some rooms as each one is so eclectic and has a different feel. We chose a room overlooking the courtyard with a view of the French Quarter. This is by no means a chain hotel. If that’s what you want, look else where. This is about the experience and the flavor of historic New Orleans. From cats in the lobby to what can only be described as the world’s smallest elevator, you will be amazed at the sights and touches that make this property unique.
I will never stay at another hotel in this city. The Oliver House is the embodiment of The Spirit of New Orleans. It’s the atmosphere, the decor, the location, the history, and the fantastic staff. Dustin at the front desk is not only an expert in the history of the hotel but also happens to be an expert at ghost stories. His extra added touch will turn a vacation into a lifetime memory. Hands down, a great time you will never forget!
A gorgeous old-style hotel with cute narrow doors, courtyard, and an awesome honeymoon suite with a 4 post bed and 2 working wall heatpump units. Neat patio on Toulouse St. only one block from the center of Bourbon St. Valet parking was spot on, and Ash and Francis were the best of hosts. Perfect spot in the French Quarter. Highly recommend the Olivier House!
