We occasionally stay here, when we want to get out of Uptown for a nice, urbane experience. Nice rooms. Could be cleaner. Enjoyable overall. I like the pool. This W has always been the superior of the the two when there were two.
A few words always come to mind when I stay at a W Hotel: hip, stylish, and unique. The W New Orleans - French Quarter certainly lives up to that expectation. Situated perfectly in the French Quarter, but far enough away from the craziness of Bourbon Street, the hotel is a perfect getaway for those seeking the authentic New Orleans experience. The rooms were spacious, stylish and comfortable; all of the things you want in a hotel room. All situated around a delightful courtyard, the best thing about the room was that the moment you shut the door and close the blinds, you hear silence, which is saying a lot for a hotel situated in the central party area of the city. Especially great was the hospitality and knowledgeable recommendations from Frankie at the front desk. It’s difficult to make connections during COVID times, but Frankie still managed to make us feel safe and welcome. I highly recommend the W New Orleans, and we will certainly be back to enjoy the Big Easy.
Wonderful place to stay while visiting New Orleans. Frankie and Alexis were phenomenal at accomadting our every need! We had an amazing experience and will gladly stay here again. 5 star!
The W Hotels brand is one of my favorites. I love the aesthetic and details of their hotels. Their French quarter location lived up to my expectations. We stayed in the carriage suite which was super convenient and allowed for our friends who were in other rooms to comfortably visit us out on our private patio. My friends who stayed on the zodiac themed rooms were entertained by the design. The location of this hotel is incredible. It is truly in the middle of everything there is to see and do in the French Quarter. I loved the Nespresso machine in each room. This is a detail I am typically only used to seeing outside of the U.S. but we were able to enjoy in New Orleans.
Upon arrival we discovered that our room was not feather free as requested. The hotel staff went above and beyond to fix this for the remainder of our stay which was truly appreciated.
At the front desk, Frankie, was incredibly cheerful and always accommodating to our requests. Frankie truly made our stay fun! My husband brought my friends and I here for my birthday weekend and Frankie was able to help get us the few things we forgot to bring in order to eat cake and celebrate!
We will definitely return for our next NOLA adventure, especially considering the hotel is pet friendly!
Great service - absolutely the best W service we have had. The location was adorable and clean, super hygienic. The layout at first seemed a little strange, but the courtyard ended up being incredibly charming at night. And the restaurant was one of our favorite in NOLA.
