This hotel is in the details. The staff is welcoming. The hotel itself is charming and has a rich history. It is in a fantastic location. Right outside the door is everything you most likely want to experience in the French quarter. Yes, the rooms are on the smaller side compared to a franchise hotel and you do have to pay to park in a parking lot which adds to the expense but it's worth it if you are looking for an authentic New Orleans experience.
I just checked out of this cute little hotel. It is a fabulous little place in New Orleans. I had a room in the rear patio. The room was small and very clean and well appointed. I did have a car and the hotel could not park it due to Covid, so they gave me a couple of options for my vehicle. I loved, loved the reception employees. They were funny and knew what was opened and what was closed. There were so many place closed due to the pandemic. Will at the desk was witty and sent me to a delicious restaurant my last night. I will be back.
The location is awesome. The the historical significance of the house and authentic look of the room provide the rating. Amenities leave a bit to be desired. Our room wasn’t cleaned during our stay. There is maintenance and cleaning needed in many areas of the room and balcony. I will not come back because I believe there are better values at other locations.
The staff were very nice. The room was small but that’s ok! It’s an older hotel, with an awesome location. The hotel was really dirty-hair balls and crunched up crackers in the carpet. Thick dust in the bathroom and window sills. Really saggy and uncomfortable beds. We stayed for the location, and loved all the great restaurants and bars just steps away. Next time I think I’ll bring my vacuum and cleaning kit.
We absolutely loved this place! Our room was out in the courtyard & super quaint & cozy & clean! Before I booked it I called & spoke with William, as I had several questions, he was so helpful & polite & a big reason why I picked the Andrew Jackson hotel! I will most definitely stay there when we go back!
