There is no reason to stay anywhere else in New Orleans. It checks every box! Location, amenities, ambiance, staff, comfort, cleanliness. From making the initial reservation with Brittany, the valet’s greeting as we pulled up to service at either of the restaurants or the famous roof top bar, the staff is exceptional. The food and drink do not disappoint either! And then the suite - Sweet!!! The pictures are worth a thousand words.
We absolutely loved our stay at the Pontchartrain Hotel. We wanted to stay somewhere away from the French Quarter but with old Southern charm, and this stay was exactly what we were looking for. The hotel staff we spoke with: Mark, Josh, and Liz, were all incredibly thoughtful and accommodating. The robes were such an amazing touch, and the bed was cloud-like in comfort. If you come to the hotel, please be advised that Hot Tin (rooftop bar) and Jack Rose (restaurant) are separate entities and not staffed by the hotel, but DO make plans to visit them — especially Jack Rose. We will never stay elsewhere in New Orleans!
Beautiful Hotel! Right on St. Charles Ave with access to the Street Car line.
We wanted to stay away from the French Quarter but at the same time have easy access.
Upon our arrival, we received the most wonderful customer service. The valets as well as the check in quest service.
The people who work here are some of the most helpful and personable we have come across in our travels. Special thanks to Freddie, Michael and Liz! We are actually going to miss you.
You really cannot go wrong with staying here. The on site restaurants and restaurants within walking distance were all very good.

We always try to stay at The Pontchartrain when in NOLA. We booked two rooms, but couldn’t make it down due to inclement weather. The staff were extremely understanding and refunded our reservation without hesitation. Great customer service means so much- we love this hotel and will definitely return.
