The room was cozy and it had a small balcony in the stairwell. We stayed in 105. It was a super nice location. Our parents were upstairs in room 400 which was a tremendous suite.. our flight back to Colorado got canceled because of a snow storm but Dewayne helped us book a room for the two nights we were basically stranded in Nola. The customer service is great! The keys are a bit janky but overall we couldn't have had a better stay. My fiance and I will come back for sure!
I am absolutely in LOVE with Hotel Villa Convento! I have stayed here a total of 4 times, and every time has been fantastic. The building itself is so beautiful, and in an absolutely perfect location. It's almost exactly half-way between the main roads you will likely spend most of your time on in the French Quarter (Decatur and Bourbon, of course). The rooms are comfortable and always clean. My favorite part however, is the staff. Without fail, everyone who works here is a genuinely nice and caring person. I look forward to calling them to reserve a room, and get even more excited to see them in person! They can give you wonderful recommendations, help you with anything at the hotel you need, and even just provide a smile/laugh for the day! I can't wait for the next chance I have to book a room here and see everyone once again.
Great hotel at a great rate in reasonable walking distance of everything in the French Quarter and beyond. Very friendly staff. Coffee and organic tea were always available in the lobby. Appreciated the natural/organic bath products in the room. At first I was a little put off by the non-modern room, but the location and quaintness more than makes up for that. The free garage was a few blocks away, but after seeing the high rates at public parking garages and crowded streets, we were just happy to have a spot. I would definitely stay again if ever in the area. The cafe across the street was delicious.
My husband and I could not have picked a better place to stay on our Honeymoon! The staff is super friendly and they even put flowers, a card, and a bottle of Prosecco in our room as a Happy Honeymoon gift! The history of the hotel is amazing and it is a beautiful historic building with great balcony views! It is right around the corner from the oldest building in New Orleans and it is within walking distance of so many great sites! We definitely reccomended Hotel Villa Convento to anyone looking for a place to stay in New Orleans! Check out the fabled "House of the Rising Sun", stay in a comfortable room with one of the nicest hotel staffs I have ever met, and enjoy the views of a great city! Thank you Hotel Villa Convento for the wonderful stay! We will definitely be back!
Nicest staff ever. Very easy going hotel. I think it deserves far more than 2 stars. Love the feel of the hotel. Beautiful courtyard in the back. Definitely will book here again the next time I come.
