Reviews from visitors:
Very nice hotel. Staff very friendly. We had an issue with our room and the young man at the front desk took care of it very quickly
Called and asked about a Hot tub room after a 6 half hour drive to Tennessee and was told I needed to reserve the room over the phone as they are limited after giving my card and info then was told check in was not till 3 pm it was 11:30 am when I called so I had to killed 4 hours before I could even check in. Once 3 pm rolled around I went to check in and was called a liar by the check in person about a documented reservation with a hot tub room and that they didn't even have hot tubs. And he had already checked me in so there went that payment I should get it back in 7 to 10 days. He turned around and went back into the office leaving me standing there so I left and went to another hotel. WILL NOT BE BACK NOR USE ANY HILTON AGAIN.I called the reservation number we will see if it makes a difference or not.
Updated review: After sending our concern to Hampton corporate, they kindly refunded the full amount of our stay. The third party site did not refund us like they said, so I am hopeful this means that they will send the monies on to Hampton, as they should. I will contact them again to pressure them to do so.
Original Review:
Hamptons are always a nice place to stay, they are clean and welcoming, so we had no issue with the stay. Our problem was with the charges. We called ahead and were told rooms were $110, so instead we booked a standard two queens on a third party app right as we arrived at the hotel; the cost was $60 ($71.03 after tax). The booking did not show up, and the two women who would be the ones who knew how to deal with the third party booking apps were out hiking and/or did not answer their phones. The two nice young gentlemen who were at the front desk told us not to worry, they would handle it, and they sent us to a king suite room that was available. Mind you, we booked a standard two queens, and made it clear we were not picky.
We had a nice stay, and were not contacted again by any hotel staff prior to departure the next morning. Once home, we saw that the charge for $71.03 never went on our credit card, and instead, a charge of $157+ from Hampton had been charged. We called the hotel and we
were told that the 3rd party booking site had never forwarded the money to them and so they had to charge us. No effort was made to contact us while we were still there so that we could call the site to pressure them to release the funds...and we were charged for a king suite room that we would not have booked for a cost of $157. My husband called the booking site and the best they would do is promise to refund the money to us. Two calls to the hotel manager and no accomodations were made for this error that was not our fault. At a MINIMUM the price should have been no higher than the $110 we were quoted as the going rate on the night of our stay. And excellent customer would have been to match the price we paid on the app. We are very disappointed.
Perfect place to stay! Great location, close to everything. Clean and extremely wonderful staff. I recommend this hotel to anyone coming to this area!
Had an enjoyable stay, lots nearby things to do including entertainment, food, historical locations, and shopping.
