This was our first time staying at Compass Cove as we typically tend to stay more towards North Myrtle - and it was AMAZING. John was the manager that checked us in and I literally can’t say enough nice things about him. We also met Jordan, who I believe is the restaurant’s manager...also a super awesome guy! Every single time we went to one of the restaurants (Compass Rose or The Crows Nest) he was literally always working....bussing tables, greeting guests, you name it! Also, any contact we had with other staff members was just a pleasant! The maids, the servers, the guys cleaning the pools or picking up trash...every single person was SO NICE. The rooms here are well maintained and clean...which can be hard to find in Myrtle Beach. The pools were great! Our 4 year old LOVED the 2 lazy rivers and the water slide! I appreciated that there were numerous hot tubs and heated outdoor pools! Breakfast at the Compass Rose was really good! Great variety and super convenient! We will definitely be staying here again and I will be recommending to friends!
Always did always do...everything right here...great people
It has a nice ocean view. And the heated pools are great. The Hot Tub was heated. The Lazy river was cool. I liked how the water shot up out of the river. The hotel room was nice and we had good cable
The worst hotel visit in MB! I've been visiting MB my whole life. My family and I usually visit at least 3 times a year, we go during the peak season and the winter...I have never had an experience like this one. We arrived and the line to check in was out the door and wrapped around the building. I waited in line for nearly 2 hours. The front desk didn't offer to compensate in any way...not even a verbal apology. We finally arrived to our room and there are black hairs all over the sheets and visible stains. I called the front desk repeatedly with no answer. We visited the pools briefly only to see a man bleeding from his head because he hit the side of the pool. A security guard or maybe maintenance?? saw this and didn't say anything to the man. Completely unprofessional. I will not return. ***EDIT For the "owner" to reply saying the lines were due to COVID restrictions is a lie. All receptionist stations were full and the receptionist were all standing right beside each other. There were absolutely no social distancing guidelines enforced for people waiting 2 hours in lines. The line was long due to system crash...why lie about it? I didn't mention the receptionist told me a manager would call me about my concerns and that did not happen. I overheard employees laughing and joking about a disgruntled couple who couldn't get a reservation. Like I said very unprofessional.
Family resort kid friendly and pets welcomed. Checking in did take about 30mins but we were checked in with no issues. Elevators are very busy web stayed in the one bedroom suite in the pinnacle building. Not enough handicap accessibility. Not enough handicap parking. Parking is horrible although they have plenty parking areas. Plenty of pools indoor and out. There were some loitering but was quickly handled by management.
