I'd hoped to find a more traditional and comfortable place to stay for our Oct 2019 trip. The sleek, modern hotels that came up in my search were NOT appealing. We are so glad Hotel Monaco was also in my search from CA! Christine Sevdas and her kind, friendly staff were a delight and very accommodating. The hotel was very neat, clean, comfortable and homey. It felt much like we were staying with a fond Aunt and her family. My college son met us from France and found his single room very quaint and comfortable and enjoyed that he didn't have to be on the floor or in the 3rd sofa bed in our room with us! The day I didn't feel up to going out touring again I was welcomed to stay in my room to read, nap and rest and it was delightfully quiet and just what I needed to keep going the next day. My husband and son went to the BMW museum and walked all over!! We had short walks to the train station and to Marianplatz for food and shopping. I long to return and this is where we'll stay!!! Thank you Ms. Sevdas!!
Good hotel. Clean, good breakfast, and when we went around early August of 2019, the staff were very friendly and happy to have us.
My only big complaint was because it's near bars and clubs and stuff, it is very noisy. 24/7 all the time.
Very nice place. When you get there, dont let the entrance fool you. The staff is great and this is as close as you you will get to a bed and breakfast in downtown Munich. Highly recommended.
Very friendly staff, lovely design. Cute hotel on the fifth and sixth floor of an apartment building. (Yes, there is an elevator.)
Great location in walking distance of most central sites and the train station. The front desk staff was courteous and helpful, and the morning and afternoon ladies were especially welcoming.
Our room was very clean and had decent space and comfortable furnishings for the price, with a convenient in-room sink for washing up. Our shared bathroom was also very clean. There was a bit of noise from the street but nothing excessive, however there was also a slight mechanical hum or buzz that was audible from our room. My partner found it distracting and had to wear earplugs but I didn't have much issue as a normally light sleeper so other's mileage may vary.
The breakfast buffet was wonderful, lots to choose from (eggs 2 ways, cereal, yogurt, fruit, meat, cheese, pastries, etc).
Overall, a great value with a homey atmosphere if you don't need luxuries. We would definitely stay here again.
