I always like Andaz. The sky bar has an incredible ambience and really good service. The cocktails are delicious and the pizzas pretty good as well. I can also recommend hanging in the lobby for a drink or coffee. Beautiful environment with great service.
Nice hotel, very friendly service. However, I had problems with the light management in the room, it did not get dark properly. Still very pleasant stay!
We were thrilled to have an Andaz in Germany finally and stayed there with the family this week. The hotel is charming as expected, the Spa is lovely, and the breakfast was to die for.
But... the operations of the hotel are not running well yet. Now and then, someone asks whether you need a refill on the complimentary Mini-Bar. You just never get it. Sometimes they took the empty bottles and didn't refill the fridge, sometimes the other way round. One room never got any complimentary snacks, one rarely. When we checked in, the rooms were not ready, and when they were, they were the wrong ones at first. The host did not offer to take the luggage and was clearly in a bit of stress when we arrived. Still friendly, but not on the level you expect from Andaz.
We are pleased with the hotel overall but would wish to see the Andaz staff step up to their game to make this a genuine Andaz experience.
Fantastic experience overall. The service, spa, rooms and decor were all top notch. The room were spacious, well designed and looked great. One of the best equipped hotel gyms I've seen with state of the art equipment. You can tell the hotel made a big effort to respect Corona distancing rules and made us feel very safe. The only minor blemish was that the breakfast drinks station staff were not very friendly. Overall, a great stay and highly recommended.
Excellent hotel for several reasons:
-- High-quality diverse breakfast (fresh croissants, fresh fruit, bread pudding, etc.) and very effective management of the buffet during Covid-19 (breakfast stations for the different items, spaced-out seating, paths for the buffet, etc.)
-- Very comfortable rooms with electronically controlled curtains, comfortable bedding and plenty of space
-- Great location at Schwabinger Tor - not far from central businesses
-- Outstanding service by friendly staff and fast check-in and check-out
-- As a concept of Hyatt - the loyalty program you are used to using in Hyatt hotels remains valid at Andaz
The rooftop bar is usually booked out well in advance unfortunately, and only open on selected weekdays, which is not ideal, but apart from that I'm delighted with the hotel's service and always happy to return.
