Beautifully prepared and inventive food, but just missing that something special that would elevate it to the highest level, especially given the extremely high price.
The setting is pleasant although the dining room is a bit cavernous and does feel like a bit of a warehouse. Staff service was attentive without being outstanding.
We opted for a six course menu and asked for wine to be matched. This wasn't listed as an option on the menu, but the staff were happy to accommodate. One word of caution - be prepared to pay for this. We didn't have a wine per course and the wine still came to almost €150! The food itself was excellent - inventive, well prepared and with complimentary flavours and textures. Pacing was also excellent.
So all in a pleasant if expensive experience.
Okay yes but it is definitely ... It is not worth this price ... A visit from the guides to make them want to cook good food would be good
The decor is beautiful, but that's all that saves this restaurant.
Bland and often uninteresting dishes, messy service, exorbitant price in view of the quality.
Don't deserve his star
At the "Jardin des sens" as at the "Comptoir des saveurs", the Pourcel cuisine is pure taste experimentation. The combinations of tastes are however surprising. And yet my puck is won over each time.
The service seemed perfect to me, that is to say welcoming while being forgotten.
One of the rare restaurants in the South where the cuisine still surprises. Thanks to the two brothers!
Invited to a working meeting. Champagne reception on the terrace. The meeting room is cramped and the air conditioning blows too hard! Then tasting of a dozen absolutely exquisite verrines. This is taste!
