Love the 10th floor - The Roof! Currently having breakfast here as I type! Nice ambience. Good food as well. Great cocktail too - I had dinner here on the first night and enjoyed my steak made to perfection. If you want to go for champagne, there's a good selection. The rooms are clean and spacious.... I'm staying in the Junior suite. For the price, you get good value.. oh! Its right in the middle of everything -Duomo, the fashion district etc.
Currently staying here. Let me start by saying that the hotel is beautiful and in the heart of Milan. Easy walk to the Cathedral and many shopping centers. Parking is located down the street from the hotel and an additional €24 per day. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated.
My husband and I are American and of African descent and we felt very uncomfortable here. Every time we come into the hotel, we are stopped by staff and asked which room we stay in, but other (Italian) guests are able to walk right by. We decided to go to the 10th floor because the sign said Rooftop Garden. When we got to the stop, the front desk receptionist for the restaurant stopped us, but could not stop looking at us from head to toe. We asked if we needed a reservation to look around the garden or just for the restaurant. She never answered the question regarding the garden, but said we needed a reservation for the restaurant. We asked her if we could see a menu to decide if it was worth booking a reservation for a later date. She hesitated, attended to another customer behind us and then had us follow her around to the main entry of the restaurant. The restaurant was practically empty, with no more than 10-15 people sitting outside. She spoke to a group of staff and came back to say we could not be seated at all. We told her that we never asked to be seated and only wanted to see a menu to determine if we would return another day. She hesitated again, walked away and went to speak back to the group. At that point, my husband and I walked away. Milan was overall a great experience, but there is clearly an issue serving customers that are not Italian. We will never return to this property.
Very well located right by Piazza Duomo. The rooms are fairly large for European standards. The hotel has a beautiful rooftop restaurant bar that becomes very lively on the weekend. Would definitely recommend to stay. Didn’t have a chance to try out the restaurant only went up to the rooftop in the evening to enjoy some drinks and look at the beautiful view it had to offer
chose this Hotel based on its excellent location. You won't find a hotel that is in a better location.
It was at 5 minutes walking distance from the Duomo. I had been touring Europe with my parents.
We are strict Vegetarians, which means that we don't eat breads containing eggs. Being a vegetarain, the options on the breakfast buffet are already very limited so atleast finding egg free bread is crucial for us.
I emailed the property a week prior to booking the hotel to confirm if they had egg free bread or not and as youll see in the attached image, they confirmed that they did. I went ahead and booked the property.
Upon arrival while checking in, we were informed at the reception that there is no egg-free bread. I was confused and I showed her the email saying that they would have egg free bread but she said no, sorry we dont. So I asked if it were possible to arrange some egg free bread for them because the only other thing they can eat at the breakfast is fruits. She said no.
Disappointed we checked into our rooms. My parents went down to breakfast and carried some indian bread down to breakfast. I was still getting ready in my room.
When I reached the breakfast buffet, I saw the restaurant manager being really hostile to my folks saying "go eat this in your room if you want, cant eat it here" Her tone was rude and demeaning (also because my parents speak broken english and couldnt really respond). I asked to the manager and he basically didnt care.
He looked at me as though it was comical and finally ended it by saying yeah she shouldnt have said that and carried on with his day. This is exceptionally RUDE and unprofessional behaviour. As somebody who is in the hospitality business myself, I would never condone an attitude or behaviour like this.
And to demean someone because they speak in broken english in a heavy touristy area like Milan is shocking (considering the lady who was yelling at my parents, her english was broken too.) IF you want a pleasant stay where you arent humiliated, then I would ask you to SKIP this hotel at all costs.
Milan summed up in a square. Beautiful
