If there was 6 stars on the rating, I would have rated this hostel 7 stars. I came to Milano for a tattoo and left it with particularly good memories, mostly thanks to Combo's staff.
I would recommend this hostel to my friends and the room 225 in particular. This room has special advantages :).
I work remotely, so finding a place where I can work during my travels is mandatory for me, and Combo was a great and pleasant discovery. Apart from being a wonderful and spacious open space, you can sit and work all day without feeling pressured to keep ordering food/drinks like in most places here in Milan.
I was able to spend my working day here almost every day for three weeks in a row feeling always welcomed from the friendly staff. I could choose between inside and outside space (in the beautiful garden), pick a spacious table, a comfortable couch, or even a standing table to vary my working spot during the day. Music is never too loud. I can do my meetings without caring too much about external noises.
Lastly, the place is located in the Navigli neighborhood, with a nice park on his back. Walking there during my breaks was great and refreshing.
For me this place was a nice surprise in Milan, I recommend it to all nomad workers like me.
Not for the budget backpacker who wants a social vibe. It's large and modern, and the ground floor common area is a bar/restaurant where you can only chill or work for free until 18:00. On the first floor, the kitchen is excellent, but there are 4 laundry machines in the common area which is annoying. On the plus side, it has a lift, the dorms and baths are quite nice, and it's in the middle of a canal neighbourhood, with heaps of hip eateries.
Very conveniently located. Very clean very comfortable beds. Great kitchen facilities. Great bar downstairs
It’s a bit dead at the moment due to coronavirus but it’s a really nice hostel. The only things they could improve on is better temporary storage of luggage in the downstairs reception area and more comfy seating in the upstairs common areas. The staff also did not put any effort into pointing out the things to do Milan/Navigli (but to be fair, I did not ask).
