Reviews from visitors:
The best place I ever stayed in Miami. Staff was phenomenal and very informative especially Ben.Rooms were clean hotel was clean. Our room was amazing plenty of towels and the bed was comfy. We had a nice view of the pool area.I loved the robes. The pool area was cute and relaxing. I highly recommend and I wouldn’t want stay anywhere else. You can get around easy and not far from the shopping area and we could walk to the beach. But you don’t have to walk to the beach because the hotel provides a complimentary beach service and provides towels chairs and umbrella.
Nice and clean room with unique retro design. Greatly enjoyed the swimming pool area to chill and have a few drinks under palm trees. The feeling of tropicals are all around you. Like you are in paradise.
The hotel has bicycles we could use on a daily basis to ride around the town. We saved quite some money with this great perk.
The hotel staff are very friendly and big thanks to Florian at the front desk for making our stay very enjoyable. He went above and beyond to make us comfortable and welcomed. Extremely caring. Gave us valuable advice on what to visit and where to grab a quick bite of great ethnic Cuban food.
Complementary espresso coffee in the room and every morning I enjoyed it on our balcony with an amazing view. The best coffee I've ever had at any hotel.
Love love love love this hotel. It's smaller hotel and has the charm. Staff is so friendly. Everything was nice and clean. Spacious rooms and at a great price. There is some construction right now so getting an Uber or anything takes a little longer but that's not the hotels fault just plan accordingly.
Great location close walk to restaurants, markets, very close to the beach, and they have a wonderful beach butler that will give you a ride to the beach. All of the staff were very friendly and always spoke to us about our stay. It is a boutique hotel and can be small in places, but enough to be comfortable. The pool area is very beautiful especially at night. Lots of great areas to hang out around the hotel inside and out.
My husband and I were beyond excited for our stay at Palihouse. For two months it was not uncommon to find me looking at their site page in anticipation.
When we arrived we were confused and disappointed to see construction completely surrounding the building. We are from Indiana and not used to city driving at all. There were no parking areas anywhere around. We called Palihouse and asked for assistance. The man was very short and rude with us and said *you drive till you find a spot* and hung up on me. We had to park almost a mile away and pay $45 a day at a parking garage. We then had to walk the mile back to Palihouse in the Florida heat carrying six bags and a cooler.
When we arrived the same gentleman was short with us and checked us in. We were given a studio king, but it was nothing like the photos. It was very small, had no table to eat at or write on, and lights were flickering. We had no "do not disturb" sign or any request for cleaning signs. We went to the desk twice to request one and they kept saying there was one in our room. I tore apart that room and didn't find one anywhere.
Our room was directly next to the staircase that most everyone uses. Our headboard was on the wall that the stairs shared. Every morning we were woken by the sound of bags being dragged down the stairs and people stomping down.
We felt very out of place at Palihouse. Everyone there is dressed very posh and hipster. You're stared at for wearing casual clothes.
We were thankful for Sebastian giving us a ride to the beach. He was sweet and helpful.
We stayed at Palihouse for six days, and do not plan on going back. This was our honeymoon, and I'm sad to say I was disappointed.
We checked out and were surprised by the hidden "Resort Fees* we were not told about. So our bill was double what we expected. We left on a Friday, and Saturday evening an additional $500 charge appeared on my credit card as pending. I'll see soon what's going on with that.
Do not stay here for your honeymoon unless you're a hipster. The pink bedrooms, giant windows directly next to your bed, and painting of a man staring at you are not very romantic.
