Reviews from visitors:
The hostel is very clean with a modern, sophisticated atmosphere. There is a nice pool and a bar with happy hour in the back. You will find a variety of different people here, some are here to party really hard so it can get crazy, while others are hanging out and working. If you are trying to get work done, there are not many places to go and get away from the noise because there's always music playing and people partying. The location is great, you can easily walk to the beach, liquor store, Subway, a couple restaurants, convenience store, and Starbucks. There is no community kitchen, so you will need to plan accordingly. You will find no microwave or fridge either. I wish there was a dedicated smoking area because a lot of people tend to openly smoke by the pool area with no regard for others. Also you may occasionally encounter less than desirable guests who may or may not be homeless. Overall, it's a great place and you will definitely leave with a story to tell. I have stayed here every time I've come to Miami and will continue to come back.
The Generator was honestly the highlight of my trip in Miami. Great location and amenities. The vibes were great and the other guests were quite friendly, which made my experience great. Also, the hostel was very clean, comfortable, and modern. It doesn't come with the standard toiletries however, it is available if you ask receptionist. Check in was smooth and the staff were friendly.
A great place to stay if you're on a budget. The staff was friendly, the place was clean, & the overall atmosphere was aesthetic & comfortable. They have a pool, a bar, & nice little amenities to enjoy. The only downside of staying here is trying to finding parking. Other than that, our stay was nice & beach access is right across the street. Definitely recommend.
Great mid beach location. I loved the pool/ lanai area, with lots of comfortable seating and a covered area. Perfect to chill all day or remote work. The only issue is there were many non-guests using that area as well, which was fine, but watch your belongings and be safe.
They are really trying their best during difficult times; I had a few issues, but all resolved within a reasonable time frame. Reynaldo at the front desk is a hero! Generator: give Reynaldo a bonus and keep him.
I was weary staying at a hostel for the first time but we had a blast. Miami night life was closed Monday through Wednesday of our Monday through Thursday trip but it didn’t matter! The other guests created a fun atmosphere of open minded folks from all over. We made friends to hang out with throughout our stay who shared everything they knew about Miami. The pool was my favorite part as jumping in is all it took to meet new people. The Generator provided beach towels for the pool or the beach. Our room was clean. Our room mates were conservative but really kind. Not only will we stay again, we will check out other hostels from this brand. Oh! It’s so cute inside, there are plenty of places in the common areas worthy of your IG. It’s a short walk to the beach and an equally short bus ride to south beach. Enjoy! All staff who helped us were kind and courteous.
