We stayed here for a week and had the best time. The location and complimentary happy hour was incredible! Pita at the front desk was super kind and helpful. He made sure to get us everything we needed and gave us great recommendations! Definitely would stay here again.
I will start by stating that I have not completed a stay at the hotel. I still wonder how the reviews for this place are so positive. I have never had such unresponsive service EVER. I have been all around the mulberry bush trying to get in contact with a manager or anyone that assist me with cancelling my reservation. Day four of unreturned emails and phones that ring busy.
Although I had much difficulty, I finally reached Christian the manager who was both helpful and instrumental in getting my refund issued!
Jay Howard is the best! He accommodated us due to a minor inconvenience and it really made my stay here amazing. I will most definitely recommend people coming here. The truly took great care of us!
Riviera is a very average boutique hotel, OK price, but solid location (5 min walk to beach). I am going to offer hotel management free consulting advice in order to improve the customer experience:
1. Renovate and expand the front desk area. There was always a line and lack of standing space.
2. Answer the phone. We had a question for front desk staff and called multiple times but no staff answered. I heard another customer checking out say 'so you guys don't ever answer the phone down here, do you?'. This appears to be a common problem.
3. Lastly, strategize on how you are going to improve the beach towel situation. I should not have to wait in line for 5 - 10min to get a beach towel from the front desk. Need to implement a grab and go system.
4. 'Not sure if the hotel owns a vacuum because the floors carpet was filthy' - my girlfriend. In other words, maybe purchase a vacuum.
I am so pleased with the service my family & I received today. This is our second stay and Mr. Amaury Guzman went over & beyond . His energy was great. He spoke with such class & his attitude was so impressive. He turned my mood all the way around. I had such terrible experience at another establishment however Mr. Guzman made me forget all about it .He should be training the next upcoming hospitality industry workers in Miami!!!!!! Thank you
