The room was absolutely beautiful. I like the decor. It was not a bad place to stay. My room was on the first floor and every time the staff arrived for their night/early morning shift, I would hear it. The staff may have not been aware that there are guests in the first floor rooms and they needed to be quiet. I heard ALL of their conversations. This is a party hotel and not a relaxation hotel. As much as I liked the hotel, I will not go back to relax.
Small room. But had clean sheets and comfortable beds. Well kept by staff. But the place greeted you with an odor. Had to say it was water damage/mold. They really need to work on that.
Other than that I enjoyed staff and the fact that housekeeping did not enter rooms unless requested. Front desk kept most goods in stock and would bring you what they didn't have on hand. The loss of 2 starts really is for the smell that welcomes you.
Location is fantastic if you want to visit South Beach. Rooms are remodeled and are cute. Towels are hard to come by and have your own toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, soap). They have a happy hour in the lobby with great prices where you can meet some characters. South beach definitely isn't what it used to be so dont judge the hotel on the clientele or people in the area. Customer service was amazing. If the front desk didn't have something they would make accommodations any way possible. The bartender was so friendly and we were greeted by staff whenever we would return. All rooms have a mini fridge and AC works so good. There is a rainbows and H&M right outside hotel which I loved. Everything is walkable or a short UBER ride from this location. I'd return again just from how staff treated my family and I.
The Whitelaw falsely advertised the accommodations at the hotel in Miami Beach. The hotel is not fit for occupancy. Not sanitary in any way and a health risk. All vents are covered in caked on dirt, mold in the bathrooms and carpets dirty, stained and look like they have never been cleaned. I’m truly disappointed. I couldn’t even sit on the bed so left immediately and booked at another hotel for the week and Management did nothing about it. Just a sorry but you won’t get your money back even though you had a horrible experience and didn’t even stay. The worst experience ever. The Whitelaw should be banned for this practice of shady business.
Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Needle caps outside of our hotel room. Whole hotel smelled like cigarette smoke and weed smoke. Domestic disturbance happening right outside of our hotel room for 4 hours one night, cops ended up showing up. My wallet got stolen from someone staying in the room a few doors down from us!!! Hotel management did nothing to help. Spend the extra $50 and stay at the Royal Palms.
Oh yeah and no hot water if you want to shower in the morning or at night.
