Brick Hotel's staff were brilliant - everyone we met were super friendly and helpful! They made our stay special and memorable.
The location of the hotel is perfect - located on a picturesque green leafy street with tonnes of cafes, restaurants and bakeries around. It's walking distance to La Condesa, the park and Polanco. And in the other direction, you can walk to Centro and the old historic center of Mexico City. If walking is not your thing, you can get around with "EcoBici" bikes (the city's bike-sharing system) from the myriad stands around the hotel and city. Tourists can register for a day pass from a '4th generation' stand - and there's one a block away from the hotel.
Finally, the restaurant (Cerrajería) is superb. I'm not usually a fan of eating at hotel restaurants, but this is a stand-out. We noticed it was packed with locals - always a good sign! On our last night we finally decided to give it a try - and it was one of the best meals and experiences we had in Mexico!
Great place to stay, beautiful rooms, and it´s the best place for small business meetings or holiday celebrations, in or outdoors. The food and the drinks are delicious.
My parents stayed at this hotel under my recommendation, it was a mistake. The highlight is that the location and design are great. The downside is that they had tons of mosquitoes in their room, had to move rooms because the first had no windows and were charged twice due to the change. Would not recommend, the staff has good will but the hotel is clearly not at a 100%, maybe because it is new.
