Reviews from visitors:
Pro: the pool was nice and is heated. Service staff was friendly and attentive. Great location for walking downtown Mexico City.
Cons: Because all of the rooms are built around the pool/bar/restaurant, it was noisy in the room starting at 7am. Walls are thin and I could hear the full conversations of the guests staying on the floor above me.
CAREFUL! VERY BAD EXPERIENCE!!
I chose this hotel as I wanted a quiet and safe place where to stay during my trip to Mexico, but the result has been tragic. After having left for one day my luggage in the storage room, I realized that an Apple Watch was missing from the luggage. It was a brand new Apple Watch that I appositely left in the storage room in order for it to be safe. I called three times the hotel and each time they told me that they would have checked and called me back. I never received any call back, it was me, all the time, to call and ask for any news. I have been told that the camera tapes have been checked and nobody touched my luggage. After asking a couple of time for the possibility to watch myself at the tapes - always been denied - I have been told that there were no cameras. I honestly doubt that there are no camera in such a “fancy” hotel. Moreover, it sounded very weird to me that on the first place I was told that the tapes have been checked, and then that there were no cameras. It really sounds as a bad excuse. I was also very much surprised from the lack of collaboration, I felt cheated all the time. I even wrote emails to the general manager / owner of the hotel, who only answered after I informed him that I filed a report with the police and that I would have shared my experience. I have been simply told that they were all trying to help me and would have contacted me in case they would find anything - I wonder how, given that more than 10 days were passed at that time.
I wouldn’t have never expected such a bad experience with a hotel which is supposed to be above average, by looking at the prices and accounting for what i have spent for my stay.
I am very deceived and disappointed.
Incredibly rude manager at the door; a generally hostile attitude in the establishment. A friend of mine, who is an architect and a gallery owner, was showing me the hotel. He was taking me on a tour of interesting buildings in the neighborhood, and had attended events here in the past. I was also looking for a new interesting place to stay the next time I visited town. Af first I thought it perfect for a group of designer friends I'm planning on traveling with later next year. My friend was describing to me who had built the hotel, the history of the building, the design details and interior decor. We were quiet and kept our masks fully on, trying to be respectful. He also wanted to show me the art gallery that was only accessible from within the hotel. There was virtually nobody in the hotel lobby while we were there, so we were not crowding the area or taking up space in a way that was intrusive. Still, we were looked at suspiciously the entire time. I also have a medical condition that requires me to use restrooms at somewhat inopportune times. The restroom was open, with no locked doors or any clear signage that I saw about being for guest only. Still, my friend was accosted by the manager while waiting for me, asking him what we were doing there. I usually always try to buy something from an establishment if I use their facilities, so I was planning on grabbing a tea from the bar, but because of how my friend was treated, I was so uncomfortable that I just wanted to leave. Then, as we were leaving, he began to yell at us that restrooms are for customers only and how we shouldn't be there, following us out into the street as he continued to berate us. He stood outside the door glaring at us as we walked all the way down the block. I was mortified. Never have I been treated so poorly by a hotel staff. I certainly won't be staying here in the future.
Industrial theme is not my thing, especially with the weird stairs for the terrace. Big pluses: free parking lot, pet friendly.
I came back to the hotel at 4 am and the hotel's door was closed. I called the front desk several times and there was no staff until 7 am. The rooms look half finished and it is quite noisy thoughtout the day and night. Hotel staff are also not very helpful. The one star is for the location and food at the restaurant.
