What makes a hostel great is
1) super friendly staffs who interact well with the guests and tend to their queries
2) help guests with activities to explore the place where they're staying. Casa Pepe gets a big tick on the above 2. The common area has a big black board with schedules of activities organized by the hostel and one of the super friendly staffs I've ever met and I took numerous printouts including color printouts and when I asked how much I've to pay, the receptionists just smiled. Overall it has a great ambience and is situated in a great location. If you're in Mexico City I'd only suggest this hostel to explore from the city centre.

Great hostel! I met so many new friends there. The terrace is just awesome.
Great hostel with nice people. Entertainment restricted due to covid but still okay compared to the rest of the city. Would definitely come back!
Great place! Just wear your ear plugs to sleep. The city is loud. Complimentarily earplugs are provided in your little locker. Wish I knew that beforehand...
