funky place to stay.. bed was so comfortable. nice vibe and furnishings and modern fitout small but had everything we needed....no lift tho so couldn't bring my mum here unless we got ground floor room
So many nice touches we weren't expecting and the staff didn't 'have' to provide. They clearly pride themselves on creates a positive guest experience above and beyond the basics. Truly a special stay thank you so much.
Clearly an old motel that has been revamped. Room was modern and clean, restaurant cafe was impressive, and location was great. Nice to have a hotel with free parking so close to the CBD.
Haven’t stayed here but unfortunately couldn’t recommend it to anyone. Had a weekend booking here long in advance to come down to Melbourne and see Harry Potter. Obviously that was put on the back burner due to current events (along with many other travel plans) and this hotel was the single most obstructive and unhelpful organisation I’ve dealt with in obtaining refunds and credit vouchers of any of my many cancelled travel plans. I didn’t even want a refund, just a credit voucher to rebook dates later down the track - which they gave me, however they didn’t stipulate that ALL weekends for the remainder of 2021 were blackout dates meaning the voucher couldn’t be used at all on a Friday - Sunday for the entire year, and for someone coming from interstate for a weekend away that renders my money paid useless as I can’t come down midweek. I travel to Melbourne multiple times a year to see family and was looking forward to fresh new accommodation options in the inner north but Zagame’s House won’t ever see any of my money again unfortunately.
Honestly wouldn’t recommend working there at all, the head manager Jody spoke in such a nasty tone to me and another work colleague. Her excuse was ‘I am the manager I can do and organise what I want and whenever I want with my workers’.
Clearly shows no respect what so ever I’m ashamed to have been working under her as my ‘boss’. There’s always a nice way of saying your point but she clearly didn’t care at all.
