Very nice style in this hotel, newly refurbished. Super friendly staff, easy check in. Large room, very clean! Good beds. We had breakfast included that had a huge buffet selection. Nice pool area. Short walk to supermarket and beach.
Last minute booking and the staff were accomodating and quickly gave us a room change when we found some small issues. Some staff seemed disinterested and when asked to order a taxi when leaving, we ended up paying twice the price to the airport for a private car pool..
The hotel and rooms are a little outdated, not as clean as expected for 4 stars and kitchen is missing some essential items (e.g. a cutting knife) but Pool/Spa area are excellent.
Loved the room, liked the location... But didn't much like Mr Waggy Finger Man in the restaurant at breakfast; it didn't seem unreasonable to us for a full table of guests to take a bottle of water to the table rather than running back and forth to refill our small tumblers... We stand corrected! Other than that staff were courteous, kind and the accommodation was clean and well maintained. Would go again.

Rooms are massive and decent, liked the AstroTurf balcony's a lot. The pool was a fair size but not many loungers. Breakfast was average. We normally stay at Gold, across the street which is definitely better but Anamar is quite a bit cheaper. It's five minutes from the gumbo and two minutes from a supermarket. You can walk down to the beach from the back of the hotel so you can avoid all the steps. We would stay again, but Gold would be our first choice!
