The hotel is ok, but the location doesn't feel very safe. The reception was distant and cold.
We didn't know that in the chaos around the hotel, you could shortly park before the door.
Which had the result we parked in the nearest closed parking lot, as the quarter looked very unsafe to leave the car in a street around the hotel.
Confirmed by walking out the parking into a drugsdeal and a guy counting his money behind a car. While me and my partner were dragging our luggage to the hotel, there was a constant feeling of needing to be alert.
The hotel is alright, while the room is small it has everything you need, the commercial center around the block feels less ominous.
Superb hotel with a lovely pool and steam room.
Decent small hotel very near to La Joliette metro station. Walkable from Marseille St. Charles train station, takes about 20 mins. Hotel room was relatively small and compact. They optimized the space quite well. Comfortable bed. Free bottled water (once per stay). Paid mini bar inside room. Small but clean bathroom. Good quality toiletries provided. Iron/ironing board provided on request. Breakfast was good with decent options, however provision for order-to-make eggs was not available (which was the only drawback in my opinion). Bar available but no in-house restaurant. However one can order room service through reception staffs. Staffs are helpful and courteous. Free use of swimming pool and sauna available at specified times. Would consider coming back
Area is safe but not much around the street, however very convenient to walk to nice places and the metro and tram are less than a week away.
My room was good, just a lot of noise from the street and other rooms. The buffet style breakfast isnt worth it, might as well get fresh bread and one of the many boulangeries nearby.
Good hotel and friendly staff. Location was great. Easy to public transport. The pool was a bonus in a very hot day.
