Nice place, I initially had to spend 2 days but I ended spending 4 days, affordable prices
I have visited the bistro but not the hotel. The bistro was really nice to visit on a hot afternoon. It has a wood panel interior and several tables outside, protected from the sun by a canopy.
I was quickly served my ice tea with ice, and stayed for a while reading my book. There was also a man singing Spanish songs and playing acoustic guitar, which added to the relaxed atmosphere of watching people walk by.
I visited again and was again able to take a seat outside, read my book, and enjoy an ice cold lemonade.
Awful experience, not recommended at all!!!!!!!
After our check-out we left our luggage in one of the lockers offered by the hotel. When we later wanted to collect our stuff, the lady at the reception refused to give it back to us. She did not care to explain us why, even though we asked for it several times, we were rudely ignored and just told to wait since the manager had to check something in our room – 6 hours after our actual check-out. After a while we understood, that we were suspected of having stolen a mirror out of our former room. The staff was running around us, talking to each other, but ignoring us and not giving us back our luggage. The whole procedure lasted at least 15 minutes.
At this point I have to add that when we arrived at the reception to take our stuff in first place, we saw the lady from the reception together with the "manager" in font of our locker that was unlocked and open. Since the only stuff inside was ours, we are fairly sure that they were going through our luggage without us being present.
After being treated that rudely, the manager realized that nothing was missing or at least that we did not have to do anything with it. We were put off with a little ‘sorry’ and were finally allowed to take our stuff. Still no explanation for anything that happened before.
To put it in a nutshell: Perfectly unprofessional. This is the first time in my life that someone treated me in such a disrespectful and dishonored way. Never going to use this hotel again and for sure advice everyone else to avoid it!!
Avoid sixth floor at all costs. No elevator to then sixth, you have to carry your own luggage up VERY narrow and steep stairs.
Bed and shower is under arcade, you can’t be standing next to it or in it- it is easy to hit your head.
Bed is super comfortable.
24h check in. Close to vieux port and Toinou restaurant.
Coffee/restaurant cozy but full of shortcomings.
