Reviews from visitors:
Cheapest place found considering off season. Very nice manager, office clerks(family). Clean but a bit rundown. Fresh donuts, bagels, toast,
fruits, etc. Coffee, drinks in morning for free. $73 night. Close to shops restaurants.
Mammoth abruptly closed the mountain this weekend. The manager of the Inn, who knew we hadn't checked in yet and might be planning to ski, was kind enough to call us to let us know - which ended up saving us 3 hours of driving each way! Very nice of him and not at all expected! Thank you!
The manager was very rude, when we arrived it was 6pm and the power was out (no heating it’s 20 degrees outside!) I would have been more than happy to find another place to stay, however he refused to give us our money back. He told us to go take a shower?! No hot water or lights, or heat and he wanted us to check in. Unfortunately, we paid through Expedia and he refused to give us a refund. If you are reading this, find another place to stay. Terrible guest service, terrible parking lot (rutted and filled with ice, outside parking) plenty of other great hotels, don’t waste your time and money.
Don't expect too much from this one of the cheapest Inns in Mammoth. I used to be force to stay in this lodge when I'm traveling alone only couple of days during the week just because of the price. Not for family.
Stayed here last year. When I arrived the owner told me he couldn't find my reservation - strange I thought to myself - so I returned to my car to get the paperwork. When I presented evidence of my reservation he blamed me for giving him the wrong name... He said this in a rude way, I'm quite patient so I didn't respond to his aggressive approach. I can only assume that he did this to either try to say there were no vacancies or to try and charge me more.
The room itself was basic. The taps didn't work properly and everything was very run down.
The next morning, the owner was having an argument outside our door with another resident who was complaining that his toilet wouldn't flush properly and the shower wasn't working. The owner was being very rude and blaming the customer, the customer sounded incredulous with some of his excuses
It sounded close to coming to blows.
We had breakfast the next morning, very basic and the muffins and other baked products tasted stale. The breakfast was served by a young girl possibly the owners daughter. We didn't have breakfast the next morning.
We were glad to leave the Rodeway, it is one of the worst places we have ever stayed. On top of that the owner was rude and unpleasant.
