Reviews from visitors:
Really pleasant experience here. Jess and Amy were extremely accommodating and helpful. We stayed in the renovated portion of the hotel in a fireplace suite and it was exactly what you would want for a snowy Mammoth getaway. The room was large, pet friendly (which is awesome), and very cozy. Bathroom was spacious and felt very spa-like (water pressure in the large shower was incredible). Location was central and convenient, about 3-5 minute drive to Mammoth Mountain and about 2 minutes to the Village (even walkable). Overall a super lovely stay, we look forward to returning.
When first arriving, we ask if they provide breakfast, and we get the response that they don't have any means of making breakfast. What kind of "resort" is that?
Later, we ask in the reception if they could open a bottle of wine, and the answer is no, they don't have a wine opener (This is despite a bar located in the reception area)
The beds in the "luxury king" rooms were hard and horrendous to sleep on. My back hurts after a single night of sleep in those beds.
Also, the heater/AC unit is extremely noisy, and it waked us up several times during the night (listen to the attached video). I usually have an easy time ignoring noises and sleep through them, but this heater made sure I didn't get a single decent night of sleep while I stayed at this motel.
On top of all these issues, they will charge you a 25$/night resort fee. What do you get for that money? The pool, jacuzzi, and gym are all closed, but they still don't hesitate to charge the resort fee.
Stay away from this place! They make it sound like a resort, but in reality, it's a motel. I'll never go back to this place.
Love staying here when in town. The staff is great and very clean and cute lodging option. Can’t wait for the steam room to open back up. Totally recommend staying here when you visit Mammoth. You won’t be sorry.
I’m surprised by all the negative comments. This is my go to when staying in mammoth. I’ve stayed here many times and have always enjoyed it. I would recommend the deluxe rooms as they have been upgraded and are really comfortable. The lodge rooms are fine if you want to spend a little less. They accept pets and we have brought the dog several times. They have a nice outdoor space for pets. The sauna has always been clean and enjoyable. I find the beds to be comfortable and staff to be helpful. It is one of the best priced options in mammoth as well. My only qualm is the hot tub is never very hot, but Ive really enjoyed staying here every time.
We loved our stay and found their covid protocols to be solid. Picked up our room key and details from a lock box near their front office after hours without hassle. We found the room good but the small fridge made a high pitch noise that we had to turn it off at night to sleep. FYI that thr main driveway is steep enough that on an icy slick day you may slide - we did. But there is a back entrance that’s more stable. Internet was OK until the evening when watching a show on Netflix was a challenge. Shower and restroom were nice! Overall we loved our stay and would return... but ask for a quieter or fixed fridge!
