Reviews from visitors:
Spent two days. Got in late first night, they had us under a very large bright street lamp that lit up our RV like it was daytime. Not very considerate, they did move us. Thank you! The entire west side of the park is a giant parking lot, you will be on asphalt in somewhat small spaces. The east side of the park looked to be more in line with "camping". Nice shade trees and camping amenities. For two days it was fine. This is NOT the right park if you're looking for a great Sierra Nevada outdoor camping experience. Also, the actual town of Mammoth Lakes has just about become a ghost town. Nothing going on in town with many closed stores and restaurants.
This was our first stay at Mammoth Mountain RV Park. Check in was quick and easy. The lady was friendly. The RV park was clean and well laid out. Even though we were right by a main street, the traffic noise was not bothersome. The whole town has a nice walking path around it and part of the path goes beside the RV park. It's a beautiful well maintained walking path. Our site didn't have sewer hookup, but there is a dump station at the RV park. Electric, cable, and water hookups were fine. The water was cloudy, so we didn't use it for cooking or drinking. I'm not sure if that was their water or an issue on our side of things though, like our filter, hose, or pipes. My only complaint is the light at our site was very bright and we couldn't turn it off. The light shining through the skylight made sleep a little difficult.
Overall we were happy and would stay there again.
This camp ground is very close to town (Mammoth). Most of the spaces are reservation only but there a some that are walk in. The camp host couple are very nice and helpful. A lot of ATVs and dirt bikes so there is dust , especially if your on a site off the main road. Bears and deer go through the camp so make sure you use the bear box. Everything should be secure in the box if you are not in your camp.
Wonderful RV Park and great service. Did a wonderful job if fixing my TV hook up.
I am only giving this place 2 stars because they were able to offer me a spot when no one else could. Other than that, our site was terrible. We were 100% on asphalt with the city hall and police department parking lot separated only by 15 feet of dirt. It was terrible waking up as people were going to work and parking right in front of our site. There was no fence separating us. We had no trees, no fire pit or option for a fire, the power hookup to our RV was in bad shape. No sewer or water. We were so disappointed we moved to a different RV campground as did the RV’s on both sides of us. Mammoth RV Park only refunded 1 night out of 3. I would not recommend this park to anyone who is looking for a connection with nature.
