It was built at a time when efficiency was the key design requirement. It’s like so many university campuses that expanded during the 60’s to early 80’s. It’s a socialist style concrete box. It’s hard to navigate and move around. The cafeteria is upstairs and doesn’t have bathrooms on the same floor. The lockers are in the middle of the common work flow. Everybody hoped for a village style rebuild. It’s so hard for families to get their kids to chair 7 and 17. Unfortunately, they added escalators and a new bar which makes it even more crowded.
Great location, especially if you have a house or rental by the lodge. We got rentals, tickets and lessons at this location. Easy and well laid out for Covid safety. Their merchandise store is loaded with everything you'll need.
Very nice new building. Escalators, stairs, elevators. Restaurant, water fountain, open restrooms, no eating indoors at the moment - just warm up or get ready (3/9/21). Lots of seating to watch. Village gondola drops you off here. Ski school central, ski patrol hub #2, parking can be iffy on a busy day/weekend, blue line bus comes to.the front door, outdoor eating - kid friendly lifts and angle of slopes. If 16 is running you can connect to the rest of the entire mountain- eagle, the mill, main lodge. Mask up to stay open!
