Reviews from visitors:
We (5 gals) dined in the restaurant. It was the worst dining experience of this season in Mammoth. I just spent $150 on a few limp lettuce leafs and some angel hair pasta with no flavor. Kelsi was a mess when opening the wine...and pretty much provided the worst service I've seen. She brought us food we didn't ask for, didn't bring the food we asked for, and even what we did get was barely edible
Don't bother. Nothing here was of value. On top of all of it, the restaurant was full of smoke because someone burned a bar food pizza. Our $550 dinner was ruined again...by by burnt $10 bar food.
Also...not the restaurant's fault but...someone FaceTimed while I was in the ladies room. No class.
What can I say? This place was like the greatest thing EVER. The rooms are nice. They have an outdoor hot tub with view ofMammoth Ski resort. You can park in the parking lot for the resort and just walk up to a lift right there at the hotel. The have a legit AMAZING German food restaurant the basement with a cool bar that reminds me of my days spent in Germany in my youth. Friendly staff, ski storage area, access to the mountain that is basically like sleeping 100 yards from a lift and chalet. Totally a must stay.
Picture of Schnitzel, it was beyond delicious. I should have taken pictures of hot tub on the roof outside with view of Mammoth resort. I loved it there.
Easy booking, great access to slopes, reasonable clean older room nice deck and view.
Refused to offer a partial or full refund to us due to our cancellation last year in light of the global pandemic. Lodge was closed every time we called and they wonder why we cancelled?! Truly disappointing and seemingly unethical.
I stayed at a one-bedroom condo off site at the Mammoth View Villas run by the Austria Hof Lodging (before Covid-19), and really enjoyed it. The condo was clean, well-decorated, and well-equipped. The bathroom is a little small, but the bedroom and living room were spacious. The kitchen was well-stocked with all of the cookwares and utensils. We went to the Devil's Postpile and hot springs during the day, shopped at the grocery stores in town, and cooked dinner at the condo. You have everything you need, just like your own home. There are trees in the back. It was really relaxing. A nice hot buffet breakfast at the main lodge was included, and it was less than 5 minutes away. Highly recommend.
