Great! YMMV, but nine times outta ten I’ve always enjoyed staying or visiting the village when I could afford it. I always loved the convenience of a room in the village. Staff were always helpful and accommodating to my tedious requests. I love how their politeness goes a long way. Even my roommates notice how they made experience better.
Unfortunately, one time the room was crazy hot. Fireplace was off but still emitting a lot of heat. I even verified the wall heater was off. Apparently, it’s a known issue. I even asked another guest about it and they said the same thing. In the end, I just opened a literal hole-in-the-wall port door to alleviate the heat. If they fix this heat issue, the room would be perfect!
All in all, I will book with them again!
Note: If you get the Lift-Lodging package, the lift tickets MUST be used the weekend you stay there. I was bruised up after one day, and asked if I could use my second lift ticket on another weekend, and they said they couldn’t.
Amazing place. A wonderful place to rest your tired feet and sleep the night away. With kind people running the establishment, you will truly feel at home. The rooms have beautiful sights from a balcony. The village near by has wonderful stores and ski supplies. The nature is can be a breath of fresh air to the city born. The rooms have a little gas stove and a fridge, along with some other cooking tools. The bathroom has a nice tinted window to let in some fresh air. Love it.
Great place. Wonderful people. Great service. Nice room. Underground parking. Those prices though, yikes!
The Mammoth Mountain Chalets are hands down the best place to stay for your ski trip! We were in Chalet 2, which had plenty of space for my wife, dog, and I with a fantastic view of Main Lodge. I put on my skis at the front door and head straight down to the lifts, then ski back to the front door after hitting the slopes. The price is comparable to other lodging in town, yet no other place can offer ski in / ski out like this while giving us privacy. We have been coming every winter for the past few years, and we can't wait for our next trip!!
Incredible staff, location and atmosphere.
We just spent 4 magical nights at Sierra Meadows Ranch. Marc was an incredible host. So accommodating to all our needs. Family of 5 with a dog and we were beyond happy and comfortable We stayed in the Crowley Cabin. Plenty of room. Super clean. Had everything we needed . We can’t wait to plan our next trip back. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
I cant begin to express how impressed I was with this place. The rooms were very clean, but more than that the staff was incredible. The tavern next door was great for dinner, and the breakfast at the stove across the street was fantastic.
This place is beautiful and in the heart of town with easy access to the slopes in the winter.
We would like to thank the staff at The Tamarack Lodge in Mammoth...specifically, Adrianna & her team...Brian & his team...& last but not least, Miss Rene. They were all most kind & helpful to us as we had some very unexpected car trouble & these 5 very special individuals made it easier for us to cope with the stress we endured. We hope to see you again in the near future ..even if only to say hello! :)
Very secluded area. Great rock formations all around. Creek and meadow setting is very relaxing. A "Tarn" is a glacial depression that water collects in.
Super cute cabins just steps from the June Lake marina. Spotlessly clean with kitchenettes and anything you could need. Super helpful and friendly staff. Best deal in town.
Nice and close to the lifts, which is the main feature here. Generally nice, but older which comes with old issues. Good place though that only needs a make over to make it great.

We had Cabin 3. It was very cozy. Bedrooms were small but all that was really needed. Love the Old School feel. Great parking! Right next to the steps. We had an issue with the heater but it was resolved quickly! Thank you for a great time!
Really pleasant experience here. Jess and Amy were extremely accommodating and helpful. We stayed in the renovated portion of the hotel in a fireplace suite and it was exactly what you would want for a snowy Mammoth getaway. The room was large, pet friendly (which is awesome), and very cozy. Bathroom was spacious and felt very spa-like (water pressure in the large shower was incredible). Location was central and convenient, about 3-5 minute drive to Mammoth Mountain and about 2 minutes to the Village (even walkable). Overall a super lovely stay, we look forward to returning.
This is very nice "old school" hotel. The owners are first generation european as the name would imply. Although the buildings are dated, the facilities have all been updated. Very comfortable and clean. The staff are all very nice and accommodating. If you want to be near the Village it's the best value.

We rented a boat for the day at June Lake through this resort. We loved it! June Lake was amazing its so beautiful, although we didnt stay here we would! The family that owns it - is so nice, they even offered us a drink after we got off the boat and having a lovely conversation about our home state in AZ. They mentioned the lake can get frozen as much as 24" over winter and they close Nov=April, its a ski town over winter, and in the summer its delightful and 70's. Cant wait to return.
