Best hostel ever in Madrid and reminds me Japan's quality of service and cleanliness of the Tokyo hostels. Amazing bar and restaurant, safe lockers with digital passwords, great view on the top roof lounge, very very friendly stuff and good English ability and especially absolutely amazing strategic place on the map near to pretty much everything. ♥️
Although Generator is famous as a hostel, but we staying for one night in a double bedded room just to experience the vibe. We totally loved it. They have number of facilities available under the same room from playstations to jacuzzi to club. The staff were very friendly and helped us with any query we had. Definitely recommended even if you are travelling with your partner.
Perfect location for a stay in Madrid. We spent most of our time out & about but the double room was brilliant for what we needed & very reasonable price wise for the location. Staff in all areas from check in to breakfast were very friendly with anything we asked about. Atmosphere for the El Classico game in the hostel was great with a huge number of people watching. Madrid already on the list again for a longer stay and will stay here again for sure.
I booked this hostel to have time alone. As I know this from Berlin, very fancy and industrial hostel, too big common areas that it’s hard to make friends but good to have privacy. I lost my wallet on my last day so also the door key. I explained and the staff gave me the key for free. I really appreciated. They are nice compare to Berlin but you have to pay for keeping luggage.
Very clean, large scale hostel with an industrial feel. Comfy sturdy dorm beds but Not very warm or friendly folks. Seemed great for large groups! No outside food allowed, no fridges or free coffee/hot water, expensive restaurant next to reception with odd hours. Not great for solo travelers who’d like to meet people.
