Nice hotel that we can recommend. Location is not optimal if you want to do a small walk after dinner. And quite far away from Lucca with very limited number of restaurants nearby. And the restaurant in the hotel we do not recommend.
Nice hotel close to Lucca, it offers large rooms, beautiful swimming pool and a good service. My only advise would be to ask to be put in a room far from the restaurant otherwise impossible to sleep before 1am
On our trip through Tuscany we chose several hotels in the center of the cities I visited. On the last day, we wanted to relax and chose a location outside the crowded areas, away from the hustle and bustle of tourist areas. And I found the perfect place: Albergo Villa Marta. The place surrounded by greenery. The only thing you hear is the chirping of the birds. Everything traditional, superlative cleanliness. The restaurant with a special atmosphere, very friendly and professional staff. Rooms decorated in Italian style, comfortable and clean. Perfect place for some quiet days în the nature!
Wonderful hotel with wonderful staff. It’s a traditional villa in a beautiful location surrounded by nature, very quiet and peaceful. We had a deluxe room which was spacious and with lovely views. The staff were so friendly, helpful and genuinely lovely people... we had a wonderful stay. It was my birthday on one of the days we stayed and they brought me a home made cake with a candle... it was very special. The restaurant is also great. I highly recommend this hotel. Fantastic.
We've visited a few hotels in Tuscany this week and this one was the most 'meh'. Pool was lovely. Room was super average. No water was provided and there was only one small bottle in the paid mini bar. There were also no tea or coffee facilities and when asked for a coffee they added a 10 euro charge to bring it round the corner to our room. They also argued over what 'latte' meant which seemed rude and unnecessary. Extra charges were added also for cooked items and juice in our 'included' breakfast. A bit sub-standard but generally nice
