They room was a modern and rustic blend. Relatively spacious with two resting areas. The loft area has skylightd and a rather comfortable sofa-turn-twin-bed. The staff was beyond kind and helpful. Breakfast was good, but busy.
I will stay here again!
Everything was perfect – the central location, the stunning medieval building, the beautifully decorated rooms (in keeping with the building's character and history), the lovely hosts and the overall experience! Excellent and great place to stay in the heart of the city center of Lucca. The hotel is 4 stars and it is worth to stay in. There is a bar and restaurant and the prices are reasonable. The staff are friendly and helpful. Also, there is a parking place but it is limited try to tell the staff in advance so they can prepare or reserve a place for you.
We have been visiting Lucca for 8-years and have stayed in many different hotels and B&B’s but this is by far the best! This is the 3rd time we have stayed and we are returning again later in the month, we will not stay anywhere else now. The staff are lovely, the breakfast by Italian standards is extremely good, offering a good selection with lots of nice little touches, china cups for tea and pretty crockery, there is a beautiful little courtyard (the clue is in the name!) and restaurant where you can have dinner in the evenings, the rooms are elegant and spotlessly clean, excellent location, very central. Cannot recommend it enough.
We had a wonderful short break in Lucca. Caterina and all her team were very welcoming and helpful and made our stay very special. The hotel is perfectly located in Lucca, clean and beautiful and accommodated our bicycles
Very friendly staff, good language skills, stayed for a visit of Lucca two nights there, got a big two room suite for the family. all very clean, staff is seriously taking care Covid measures, gave a good feeling for a healthy and safe stay at this hotel. Ver good parking, by car 5 minutes to the city center. Hence all good, next time in Lucca we would choose this hotel.
I am currently staying at Hotel San Marco and cannot speak highly enough about the staff, cleanliness, and cozy accommodations. We had a difficult trip getting from the US to here and they immediately checked us in, got food for us and called to check on us. They have been so helpful giving us ideas on things to do and giving us directions. They genuinely seem to care and are some of the nicest people I have ever met
A very special place, located behind the impressive St Michele church. Refitted in traditional style in keeping with a 400 year old palace offering modern facilities in either bedroom with bathroom, and suites with private sitting room and spacious bathroom. Traditional breakfast is provided but newmerous cafes and restaurants within the piatsa offering other refreshments and food. This hotel is perfect for the tourist wishing to spend their time exploring the unique unspoilt city of Lucca within the walls.
The lady who rescued us after a difficult drive through the city was a delight. The suite we had was very comfortable. The recommendation made for a restaurant was superb and the general information given to us was extremely helpful.
We both loved Lucca and the hotel’s location was very convenient.
I recommend travelling to Lucca by public transport. The city is not car friendly!! Having said that the hotel provides a city permit for the car and has a garage which needs to be precooked. Parking in the garage is a little expensive but worth it.
The staff were all friendly and helpful. The place enhanced our stay in a beautiful city.
This Hotel or rather Villa is a truly paradise......we enjoyed the stay and the 4 days here was like 14 days of holiday. Really a small perl in the middle of the Lucca Tuscan area.

Appartments are beautifully clean and staff are friendly and helpful. Great location in central Lucca so very convenient with shops and amenities close by. Only drawback is that narrow streets inevitably mean some noise as restaurants close. However, windows are well shuttered so noise is minimal.
We loved our three nights here and will go back again. Recommended without reservation
