A jewel in the hills of Hollywood.
There are some hotels that feel alive and tell a story to the guest lucky enough to stay; This is one of those hotels. A journey back into a time when things were fun, a feeling of moving forward and immediately present is displayed upon entering this sleek unpretentious hidden hotel. The professional staff from valet, doorman, reception and housekeeping that always greet you w/a sincere smile - never saccharine. It's an older hotel that has kept itself clean and polished over the years and has updated itself appropriately, and tastefully. The lush gardens are beautiful and beckon you to stroll before or after a lovely dinner at Cavatina. A wondefully romantic restaurant w/a well thought out wine list.
The cuisine prepared by Luis Morales is fresh, bright and bursting w/subtle nuances and the staff in the restaurant are more than accommodating. There is a levity that is pervasive on the grounds w/an abundance of rock and roll photography and paraphernalia. This hotel might be in the heart of Hollywood but feels like an oasis w/twinkling fairy lights and a calm hush over a private retreat. The two pools are clean, cool and deep....I'm six foot two inches and despise these kiddie pools so many hotels favor presently. The large absorbent towels provided at poolside is a major plus and a detail often overlooked by many. The limited poolside menu had options for all types of appetites. My family and I look forward to our return soon. Thank you to the entire staff at the Sunset Marquis, sorry this review is 6 months old but the heartfelt feelings are still on point. A special thanks to Yoman for providing such wonderful hospitality.

This is an experience. The staff is amazing and so quiet. The bar is a perfect spot to chill at night.
Beautiful and clean! The service was very good and this hotel is by a food plaza that is right outside. Very good for options.
I cant afford to stay here but the bar was really nice looks like they just redid it and the food is good.
