What an amazing hotel experience! The staff were so kind- including the security guard! They filled our water bottle for us daily (sometimes twice) and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. The property is brand new and is lovely! The only complaint I have is that the fan on the A/C / heater were incredibly loud. But, I would totally stay here again! :)
The food and drinks were delicious, the view was nice. Our waiter wasn't very attentive, didn't really check in on us, only came by to take our drink and food order then disappeared the rest of the evening until we asked for the check. Definitely would return for the food, drinks and view. Hopefully we get a better waiter next time.
Had a lovely stay, was surprised that we had to pay a $400 deposit fee but was told that it would be refunded back to us. The reception also told us that if we ate at the rooftop restaurant they would deduct our tab from the deposit I mentioned earlier. When we tried to do that our server Eduardo rudely told us that, that’s not how it works and that we need to pay, which was no problem but the miscommunication between front desk and restaurant regarding the deposit should have been handled better. And Eduardo could have been a little nicer about it.
We had a great experience here at The Wayfarer Downtown Los Angeles from start to finish. They surprised us with a bottle of champagne and a fruit and cheese platter because we told them that it was our belated Valentine's Day celebration. All the staff was very friendly, helpful, and respectful. We definitely will be coming back again soon.
The hospitality was incredible, and I'd like to thank these guys with everything. For the first time, it was a fun experience. In comparison to others, there are no secret fees!
