I'd say this hotel is a premiere example of form over function. Everything looks nice and fancy, but it's not very practical. The rooms don't have microwaves and the bathroom doesn't even lock.
Other than that though, the hotel staff was very accommodating and I felt well taken care of.
This hotel is amazing because it gives discounts to returning tourists! I'm amazed at the support they've got. It's definitely a must-try! I'd love to come back to this town!
Love the the Mondrian , me and my boyfriend stay here all the time. It’s the next to the whole food , jet ski in the back.
Also love staying at the one in LA.
So an Aussie abroad. Loving the good old US of A, so many places took my breath away... So stayed at the Mondrian for a week in a BALCONY SUITE
Was great room and service but the sky bar. What a joke. Being told certain attire. I came to use the pool as a private guest. Shoes were not enclosed board shorts and a polo shirt. Now I'm a surfer from way back and anyway, being told when I wasn't in the pool that I was required to wear my shirt as my tattoos, we're offensive?!! What the..
There were women there wearing less than I was and had ink on. I'm a specialist in my vocation. Sure I had a beard yes and dark shades and may look a certain way but I'm far from a derelict, i was appalled they told me this and treated me that way.
Even asked for my room to be billed drinks and snacks etc and had to prove beyond name and my room key I was who I said I was. If I posted a photo you would see I don't present any negative conotations as a human. I had women loving to talk to an Aussie and had a great time with other patrons. Was just unbelievable how j was treated though.
Wouldn't recommend, went somewhere else to stay prematurely and had a blast... So avoid if you have an Accent a beard and tattoos.
Had always been my favorite hotel when making the 3 hour drive to LA! Cool mirrors, showers, the Skybar, the food,, the beautiful view from the pool, and the iconic fluffy swing! Just booked a room for next month, my step mom has never been to Hollywood!
